Jamie-Lee from Germany has just finished the second rehearsal for her song “Ghost” at Eurovision 2016. Some small changes in the staging since the first rehearsal have really improved the mood of the entire performance – lifting it from a dreary dark number to something with a bit more punch.

Once again Jamie-Lee’s voice is absolutely phenomenal. There’s almost no way to tell the difference between her live voice and the studio version. It’s almost creepy how similar they sound.

One area that has been improved a lot is right at the beginning. Rather than the camera starting wide and panning into Jamie-Lee, it does the exact opposite which immediately creates intimacy with her as she sings.

The stage is also illuminated with a delicious shade of purple. Looking like a river of blackcurrant Ribena, Jamie-Lee stands her own in her Harajuku Girl gig.

I kinda like the song, she is talented, her voice is nice, but the outfit ruins it for me… I get it, that’s her style and you should be yourself, but it doesn’t fit the song at all! People can seriously think it’s a joke or something. She could have worn something more elegant and serious and use some elements of her style, but the current outfit just looks ridiculous.

I love this song so much, such a pity they stage it this way. Especially these laser beams piss me off.
Hopefully the viewers won’t get distracted too much and still appreciate her song and also her flawless voice.

>>>she pointed out her outfit is inspired by “decora kei” Japanese street fashion… Decora kei The Decora style originated in the late 1990s/early 2000s and rose to great popularity both in and outside Japan. The clothes are usually in black, dark pink or baby pink, but other neon colors were also acceptable. A plain shirt and hoodie was often worn with short tutu-like skirts. The hair (often worn in low ponytails with long bangs) and make-up itself tends to be quite plain. However, the most significant part of decora is to pile on many layers of cute accessories until the… Read more »

This is the weakest of all the pre qualified finalists. It will end up among the bottom, if not last.

Jamie-Lee, it was a great performance today.
I think Jamie-Lee could come with her song under the top 10.

I was never a fan of the song just because of her style. The song is decent but… her looks distract too much. I know its her style and what makes her special, but if she could tone it down a bit (a lot) would be better. Doomed for bottom 5.

Douze points. Jamie Lee is perfection.

Disappointing. She sings well but she is not the type to impress the cameras. They should just fly in the kids from the voice and it would instantly be infinitely better.

I couldn’t remember the last time I listened to this but I’m surprised. Jamie can sing – she can twist those notes and the song is very good. I’m gonna download the song now.

This is will end up in the bottom 5. The staging is like Halloween even though it’s summer? What were they thinking?

Who will vote for this? Children, ESC fans, middle-aged people, old people? No one.
