Eurovision 2016 had 22 solo female artists – the highest number ever. And one of them, Sanja Vucic of Serbia, has paid tribute to the 21 others by singing a medley of their songs.
Starting with “Miracle” by one of her Eurovision BFFs Samra from Azerbaijan, Sanja works through snippets of the 21 songs, demonstrating her impressive vocal talents.
She’s also able to capture the essence of each performer, belting out Dami Im’s big notes, Jamala’s heartfelt wailing, Rykka’s subdued electropop and Laura’s perky funk. So if any of these artists come down with a cold, Sanja could easily step into their place. It also suggests this versatile performer has a bright future ahead of her.

HATERS GONNA HATE BUT SANJA IS THE SH*T :DD
Queen of southern Serbia
“I honestly find this girl very loud and annoying ……. And what killed her song was the live performance. The dancers and dramatic backing singers are so 2005, the concept of it felt quite dated to me.” To me the backing women looked a mix of punk (circa 1982 Pat Benetar – check out her video “Love is a Battlefield”) with Gothic black clothes and dark makeup, from the early 2000’s. They turned it into an angry women, men-are-bad performance. I *did* like the male dancer as he was a professional and had some good moves – he’d be a… Read more »
She has a great voice but this wasn’t enjoyable to listen to

Now Amir doing the tribute to male vocalists??
Sanja is genius:) I love her and her amazing voice. She can sing all genres. I hope Sanja would represent Serbia next year:)
Well, in 1956 11 out of 14 songs were performed by female soloists (78.6%).
1957: 6 out of 10 (60.0%)
1958: 7 out of 10 (70.0%)
2002: 14 out of 24 (58.3%)
2003: 13 out of 26 (50.0%)
She’s a nice multivocalist
Nice try.
That was the best thing ever.
Someone get Samra to take notes, that is how you sing!
I love Sanja , she has a great personality and she also one of the best female vocalist This year.. sanja come to perform in Israel with hovi 🙂
I must be the only one who thinks this is actually horrible! Her voice isn’t that great and it came across really messy…
Robyn Gallangher, ok, but I mean the exact points, how would they have looked like?
Wow…pretty cool!
To live with that woman in one house must be very tiring after a while.. (not that I world hit her ofcourse :))
But just a question, how would danish jury points have been in semi final 2 without Hilda Heicks mistake?
@oooops
A real music expert would never do that.
That’s great!
Sanja slays, can’t believe she got so few points by juries(non-Jüries)…
nice idea to do. we talked about this year being a sausage fest, but that wasn’t the case in the end.
