The waves have receded, and Iveta Mukuchyan is looking for love! While we were all distracted by the onslaught of her “LoveWave”, Armenia’s Iveta Mukuchyan — aka Eurovision’s Next Top Model — was quietly releasing more music.
On March 19, 2016 — amidst the heat of the Eurovision season — Iveta unveiled the music video for “Du haneluk es” (You Are A Riddle). The duet sees the fabulously fierce Eurovision 2016 star team up with comedian Mkrtich Arzumanyan. It accompanied the Armenian language comedy-adventure Run Away or Get Married — released in cinemas across Armenia last March.
Iveta seems destined for even greater heights.
She not only sang on the soundtrack, but also starred in the film — marking her big screen debut.
While Iveta’s Eurovision 2016 “LoveWave” was edgy and fierce — she oozed sex appeal and was framed by flaming columns — this collaboration with Arzumanyan is fresh and playful — almost a return to basics. It gives Iveta a chance to show her light-hearted and mischievous side, while still managing to slay us with her confidence and allure.
The music video sticks to the comedic stylings of the film. Our Armenian correspondent Antranig Shokayan translated some of the lyrics. They are heartfelt yet buoyant.
