Adelén serves tribal realness in "Wild Like Me" music video

Tarzan is rocking movie theatres around the world and Norway’s Adelén is tapping into the tribal zeitgeist with her latest single “Wild Like Me”.

As the scintillating video shows, the 16-year-old girl who finished second behind Margaret Berger at Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2013 is now well and truly a woman — and a bona fide star.

In the sleek video she effortlessly transitions from cute to sexy, unleashing her wild side as she roams free among firebreathers and fighters. Gone is the cute girl next door, replaced by an Adelén who oozes raw sex appeal (and writhes against trees). Working loin clothes and more than a bit of body oil, she plays the part of electro dance cave woman perfectly.

The icing on the Cro-Magnon cake is the hip-shaking bridge, which reminds us that Adélen can sing — and dance. After all, she won the Norwegian version of Dancing with the Stars — and she did that just as she does this, looking fierce and fabulous.

Lyrically Adelén sings about “living while we are young” and how others want to change her. “They’re trying to hunt us down,” she says — noting that they fail. The music video captures that spirit of freedom and independence well. When she calls for us to get wild like her, we want to grab our torches, release our inner animal and break out of our respective cages.

The video is the latest achievement for the rising star. Her MGP 2013 song “Bombo” went on to win the OGAE Second Chance Contest and Adelén featured on the 2014 World Cup album.
