Junior Eurovision 2016 is picking up speed and Russia now has its foot firmly on the gas. Today the perennial contender revealed the 16 songs that will compete in its national final, which is set for August 15. Controversy has already surrounded the selection, as the final will be held in Crimea, but let us free our minds from politics and enjoy the music!
This is the first time that the general public will have a say in choosing the Russian representative and the online voting portion is already open. You can vote for your favourite here. The voting will be remain open until ten minutes after the last artist performs in the final in a few weeks time. Interestingly, the show itself will be televised the day after the contest…which makes it hard for those of us outside of the arena to jude the live vocals.
In any event, let’s see what Russia has to offer. Then vote in OUR poll at the end of this post. You can vote for as many songs as you’d like, but you can only vote ONE time so make it count.

Coming from a Russian I want these four songs to win: Milana Zharehina, Mariya Zhuravleva, Mariya Mirova, and Sophia Fisenko. I would be happy if any of these win.
