Grab your hairspray and your lipstick, y’all! Jedward are back with a new music video and an even sunnier disposition. On Thursday, Ireland’s favorite bouncing twins released the music video for their new single “The HOPE Song” and they’re paying tribute to Justin Timberlake in the video.

“The HOPE Song” is unadulterated, unapologetic feel-good pop — in other words, it’s so Jedward! The two-time Eurovision alums stuck to what they know, and it definitely paid off with another radio-friendly hit.

It’s no Oscar Wilde or James Joyce – but it’s not supposed to be. It’s simple pop. With a title like “The HOPE Song”, it’s not pretending to be anything too deep or complicated. All it needed was a simple and uplifting message and a tune that lightens your step, both of which “The HOPE Song” has in spades.

The song and the video both inspire memories of a less complicated time — like when we were all still running after ice cream trucks, and when sporting copious amounts of hairspray was still cool…

The boys clearly don’t take themselves too seriously though. The glossy and well-produced video shows they still know how to let their hair down (pun intended) and have good clean fun, whether it’s by the pool, while shopping for produce, or while hanging out in the parking lot of a long-forgotten strip mall nearest you! It’s a song about HOPE after all!

And if the music video looks familiar, it’s because Jedward have used the same Los Angeles locations seen in Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” video. It often uses shot-by-shot reconstructions of JT’s video, but always with Jedward’s unique style. John and Edward have long been fans of Mr JT, so it comes as no surprise that they’d pay tribute to one of their inspirations.

“The HOPE Song” will be available to buy on iTunes worldwide on August 12th, 2016.  And if you are feeling hopeful and can’t wait until then – the single is currently available for pre-order.

Jedward – “The HOPE Song”

Jedward – “The HOPE Song” lyrics

You can count on me to always hold your hand
I’ll brush off the dust, make you shine again
Oh, we’re on a journey to the unknown
Have a little hope, have a little hope)

Come on dare to imagine all that you could be
And discover a world of possibility
Oh, with spirits like ours – we’ll rewrite the rules
We’ve got a trail of sparks – Believe in miracles

Have a little hope (Have a little hope)
When the world gets cold (When the world gets cold)
Don’t ever lose your soul (Don’t lose your soul)
Have a little hope (Have a little hope)

Go and find your purpose let your mind run free
All the magic is waiting, jump the boundaries
Oh, from A to Zed you’re gonna see it all
You’ve got live, love and dream — you’re not invisible

CHORUS

And like a dandelion, you can blow in the wind
Build enough momentum to the promised land
Come on, hit the road, accelerate with speed
You were built for this, claim your destiny

CHORUS

Come on now!

I like this song and video very much! The song is full of positive and calls people never to give up and always to Have a Little Hope! The video is awesome! I like the songs written by Jedward, because each of them has its own message, whether it’s serious or funny song. I hope that Jedward will be able to represent Ireland in Eurovision 2017:)
