This is just too much drama for a Sunday night! Earlier this evening, we saw Saara Aalto lose her place in the X Factor UK, after her Six Chair Challenge performance went sour. But a couple of hours later, at the end of the Xtra Factor after-series, presenters revealed that Saara had been picked as the Over 25s wildcard!
This is UNREAL!Can’t believe I’m the wildcard!EVERYTHING is possible!miracles do happen!Believe in your dreams!????? @TheXFactor pic.twitter.com/7bfgTLOwwk

On the Xtra Factor, Saara explained how she felt about her exit: “I was like, argh, give me a chance!” Then, about her return: “I was saying, ‘Is this a joke?'” Well the good news is, it most certainly is not!
This means that Saara will get her shot at redemption next week, during the Judges Houses phase. She’ll sing one more time in front of the Over 25s mentor, Sharon Osborne, who previously axed her. If she makes it through, we’ll then see her on the Live Shows.
Saara Aalto — I See Fire at X Factor Six Chair Challenge
Saara had earlier exited the show after Sharon failed to get behind her performance of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”. Indeed, on Xtra Factor, Saara pointed out that “Sharon wasn’t at my first audition so I thought maybe she didn’t know who I was”. Here’s hoping that she stands out again next week.
Saara Aalto “exits” X Factor: Reactions
It’s fair to say that social media blew up when Saara was eliminated earlier tonight:
If Saara doesn’t get that wildcard thing, I’ll be so mad

@saaraaalto You shouldn’t have needed to apologise for singing in French – Andrea performed in Italian before. I’m so sorry for you

Sharon is a joke… Saara and the doll should have both been through she’s ruined that category #xfactor

How can you not give Saara a seat, she has one of the strongest voices ever! #XFactor Also I liked Sada and Honey G! ????

The reveals throughout the shows also mean that it definitely is the end of Bianca Claxton.
It had been reported she had “blown away” the judges in her audition. Unfortunately, we never got to see her in the show and she didn’t sneak through to the next stages unnoticed. This likely means that she went out earlier on and producers didn’t choose to use her footage.
Are you glad that Saara is back in the X Factor? Do you think that she’ll be able to win Sharon Osborne over? Let us know and make sure to check back next weekend, as we’ll be covering Saara’s fate as it happens on X Factor.
Saara is The Best 🙂
Saara is from finland I bet she don’t understand that she was rude
“Scandinavia” usually refers to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Some sources argue for the inclusion of the Faroe Islands, Finland and Iceland, though that broader region is usually known by the countries concerned as Norden (Finnish Pohjoismaat, Icelandic Norðurlöndin, Faroese Norðurlond), or the Nordic countries.

Its extremly rate that Finns are arrogant. Its just not i their natire and culture. Even if somebody is extremly rich, you wont know it by their appearance or house or car. There are no private schools in Finland or Unis, so rich or poor, everybody goes together to the same schools. There is also no class system in Finland as there is in the UK. She was just a bit nervous, thats all. She is also quite known in Finland. As for Sharon, since when is she the singing expert? And so what if she sung in French? If… Read more »
Did she actually receive booing from the public just for singing in French? Or is it TV cutting and stuff?
@Robyn Gallagher:
Since you mentioned Sada Vidoo, well, I think Denmark has just found their future Eurovision representative!
Saara was over-comfident about herself in Six-Chair-Challenge.
She needs to be more down-to-earth, like she used to be.
She is a nice person behind the mask.
In every country, jury who wants to say NO to a singer, says that : I don’t feel anything when you sing, I feel disconnect … what that means ? Nothing, just an empty excuse to reject somebody.
And about french language, this is so rude, when the entire planet speaks english, UK is shocked when it hears something else. Their loss, because they have only one culture, while anybody else is much more culturally enriched.
More musical theatre than pop. Technically? Great voice. Connection with the audience? Not so much.
You guys should know by now that reality shows like this shouldn’t be taken as gospel. If no one had strong reactions to things and acted normally all the time they’d have no show. They were setting Saara up for something big and that something was her wildcard return.
Look, I love her, but she was disgustingly arrogant yesterday, she sung that french song completely out of tune and still didn’t understand why she was being rejected.
When I got the spoilers about the six chair challenge, I thought she’d be a wildcard. The reported reaction at the taping was to strong for it not to be a set-up for a return.
I agree with Jonas, most of these shows cast based on non-talent factors, it is TV and you need to give viewers a reason to tune back in each week.
Bianca’s exit (or non-appearance) is no reflection on her considerable talent. It’s just that there was no sob-story or contrived storyline that the producers could use to hook the viewers – this is not a show based on merit. It’s trash.
I love Saara (#NoFear2016/Forever), but feel as if her 6 chair performance came off as arrogant. I don’t know if it was edited to look so or if it was actually raw footage rudeness, but either way it might be a good idea if she made a public apology for her attitude. Though, I’m sure we’ll hear that in her sob story in the judges houses!
I’m glad she got the second chance but this time she needs to take this more seriously.
No, not really. She was really arrogant and rude, and IMO that kind of people don’t deserve a second chance.
Kween. Go and scalp those lessors, Saara!
Saara was such a diva tonight!
