Earlier this year, music mogul Louis Walsh claimed that working with them was the most embarrassing point of his career. But in scenes set to air tomorrow night, Jedward hit back at their one-time mentor.

The 25 year-old twins are the latest famous faces to welcome Irish TV presenter Lucy Kennedy into their home for Livin’ With Lucy – a programme that blurs the lines between chat show and reality TV.

Over the course of the episode, the topic of conversation turns to Louis Walsh’s comments.

And Ireland’s most successful Eurovision act of recent times don’t take the slight on their honour lightly.

Edward is the first to stick the knife in, saying “I think we are the most financially beneficial act of his career in the last 10 years”.

John gives it a twist, adding “I don’t think he took us under his wing. I think we were already flying and he was like, ‘Oh I think I want a part of that’”.

The pair then turn the shade up a notch, writing-off the X Factor judge as old. “I think he got old. It’s like someone saying behind your back and you are like, ‘wait, I didn’t know there was a problem.”

Is Louis Walsh close to the waterline? Because he just got burned!

Those of you living outside the Planet Jedward bubble might be wondering where it all went wrong for the trio. After all, Walsh was the man who championed the Dublin natives during their X Factor stint in 2009.

He quickly signed them up once the series finished and guided them through two Eurovision campaigns in 2011 and 2012.

However, things turned sour in 2013 when the “Lipstick” singers decided to do like the Kardashians and hire a momager – their mother Susanna Condron. The days with the man who launched Westlife, Johnny Logan and Linda Martin were “gone, gone, gone, gone”.

The hyperactive pair have remained popular since the split, and continue to release new music despite diminishing chart returns.

They also continue to be a regular presence on TV screens, and appeared as guest judges on Ireland’s Junior Eurovision selection two weeks ago.

Nonetheless, reports suggest that their firm Planet Jedward is loss making to the tune of €234,000. But the boys insist they want for nothing, “Anything we buy, we buy it all out. We don’t pay a mortgage. I don’t have any debts.”

Meanwhile, Louis Walsh is still a judge on Britain’s The X Factor, cheering on such tuneless wonders as Bratavio.

Livin’ With Lucy airs tomorrow, Tuesday, at 9:30pm on TV3.

Louis seems to have no integrity whatsoever. The only reason he’s on the X Factor is to make Simon Cowell look good in comparison. If Girls Aloud are to believed, he never even took an active role in management – and it seems to be the same with Jedward. The only thing I disagree with the twins on is thinking “old” is an insult.

Louis is fun on x factor but doesn’t seem like a nice guy or someone I’d want to work with. Jedeard are far from the first to say he just took his cut but didn’t actually do any work.

And he just seems to go around insulting everybody

Louis wasn’t so embarrassed of them when he was milking them dry between 2009 and 2013.
Nobody here in Ireland listens to Louis Walsh. He doesn’t know what is going on half of the time. I wouldn’t be A Jedward fan (I did enjoy their two successful ESC attempts though) but I would agree with them about Louis.
