She scored the biggest hit of her career with “K Chyortu Lyubov” back in the spring. Now, as the year draws to a close, Loboda is enjoying chart success once more with “Tvoi Glaza” (Your Eyes).

Unfortunately, unless you speak the local lingo, the song will pass most people by. Whilst slick and modern, it’s easily interchangeable with many of the Ukrainian’s previous releases.
Still, “Tvoi Glaza” is gaining traction in Ukraine and Russia, and has so far peaked at nine on the CIS TopHit 100.
Incidentally, it deprived a certain Eric Saade of a top ten placing in that same chart, with his “Wide Awake” remix stalling at 11.
But since this is Loboda, all eyes are on the music video. In the past we’ve seen her dabble with voodoo, drive Emin insane, and embark on a murderous crime spree. Most recently, she treated us to a little implied cunnilingus.
Thankfully, the video for “Tvoi Glaza” does not disappoint.
Shot in the same Spanish desert as Star Wars and Game Of Thrones, the clip opens with our leading lady driving through the heat to the tune of her previous single.
At the same time, we see a series of fiery celestial objects plummeting towards earth. It isn’t long before Loboda stumbles across a handsome young alien, who appears to have arrived during the meteor shower.
Given this is a video by the woman who sang the lyrics “You are so sexy BOM” at Eurovision 2009, the alien is completely naked… because, of course.
Visually, the character resembles a gym-honed, blonde human man, except for his eyes. They are as big as Loboda’s lips are juicy. And judging by the singer’s furtive glances, other aspects of his anatomy are equally impressive.
The pair quickly fall for each other and soon an interspecies love affair is in full swing… well, it makes a change from crucifixions.

@Padraig Muldoon: I appreciate the explanation but considering that in 2009 only a few songs were worth being heard and remembered, pretty sure that one entry belongs to “it doesn’t even matter” category” … I have no clue who she was and what country she represented.
