krista-siegfrids-melodifestivalen-2017-interview

Last year she fulfilled her dream of competing at Melodifestivalen — despite the fact she is Finnish and was simultaneously hosting Finland’s UMK.

And it seems that “Faller” singer Krista Siegfrids made quite the impression on SVT during the show, as today it was revealed that she’ll be returning to the contest for a second straight year.

Speaking to wiwibloggs at the artists’ announcement, she made it clear that she is in it to win it.

“It feels amazing, and this time I’m going to be dangerous,” she says. “I’m going to make it to the final because my song is amazing!”

She’s not remotely concerned about hosting UMK while simultaneously prepping for Melfest. After all, she did the same thing last year!

“People ask me, ‘How are you going to handle it?’ But I did it last year and this year it’s going to be no problem.”

It helps that UMK — Finland’s national selection — only involves one show this year rather than several.

And what about her song “Snurra min jord” (Spin My World)?

“It’s a deep story, seriously,” she says. “It’s a beautiful song but it’s baked into a club-ish vibe. I think wiwibloggs is going to love it.”

“I seriously do think that this is something Swedish people are going to like.”

In September the “Marry Me” singer took her relationship with Sweden to another level when she announced that she had signed with Universal Music Sweden and Stereoscope Music Scandinavia.

The 30-year-old stunner broke the good news on Instagram, uploading a photograph of her at the Universal Music Sweden headquarters, along with the caption: “It’s a big day for me today because I’ve signed a contract with @universalmusicsweden and @stereoscopemusic.”

She added a series of hashtags including “#dreamscometrue” and “sohappyicouldshitrainbows”.

In any case, are you excited that Krista is back at Melfest? Do you think she can improve on her fifth place finish from the semis last year? And are you sh*tting rainbows now that she’s back? Let us know below!

If It’s anything similar to “Faller” she will fail to reach Andra Chansen yet again.
That song was dull as rocks.

I don’t get it! Why is she singing in swedish, when she usually sings english?
I guess she doesn’t want to be an international star…
