November 30 was a pretty intense day in Belarus, as a professional jury panel sat down to evaluate the 67 songs submitted to BTRC for its Eurovision 2017 national selection. Just hours after completing the very long trial, the broadcaster has now revealed the 13 lucky finalists.

There are a few familiar names among them, including NAVI and NAPOLI from last year’s selection. They’re coming back stronger than ever. But they will face some very stiff competition, as the quality of the selection seems much, much higher this year — the live auditions even featured a brand new stage!

Before Belarus decides on its winner, why not let them know your feelings by having a listen to the songs below and then voting in our poll. The national final will take place no later than January 25 and we’ll close our poll sometime before then. As ever you can vote for as many songs as you’d like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to click the box next to each act you want to support before pressing submit.

BELARUS IN EUROVISION 2016: WHO SHOULD WIN THE NATIONAL FINAL?

After listening to KATTIE’s revamped song, I would add her to the ‘good’ section. So, it’s either NAVI, Vladislav or KATTIE. Either would probably make Belarus go high on my yearly list of songs.

Out of all of them, Nuteki has the best shot at making the final of Eurovision 2017. The live performance is really bad compared to the music video version so he needs to sort that out if he wants to win.

NAVI have a best song by a mile! Hopefully Belarus chooses them, having the only chance to win or come close to winning ESC 2017. Second would definitely be Vladislav Kurasov, whose song is a bit special and distinctive among the rest.

On first listening, every other song made me either asleep or vomit, so these 2 should win, especially NAVI.

Nikita has a great voice but he looks so uncomfortable on stage 🙁

@CookyMonzta, no! bookmakers are anticipating NAVI to win.

@Johan: You beat me to it. I checked Oddschecker.com, and right now they have Belarus in front. Methinks the bookies are anticipating a win for Kattie to represent them in ESC 2017. If she loses, watch Belarus drop like an anvil on the bookies’ boards.

Kattie and Vladislav stand out to me, for different reasons. I personally don’t understand the popularity of the Navi duo – why are they easy qualifiers??

I loved Vlad in the Ukrainian selection last year. He’s even hotter this year and his voice is unique. What more do you want from a Eurovision act?

Kattie has a song with a good message behind it, so I can see her doing well too. 🙂

Navi would qualify for sure! It’s the only unique, good, fun song at the NF. I’m sure it could give Belarus a refreshing entry with great results.

I’ve always been a fan of NAPOLI!!!

My Dreams should’ve won 2 years ago! My universe was amazing aswell and also should’ve won, however…. this year they’ve got one of the worst songs i’ve heard in my life >.< the song screams eurovision fakeness… idk how to put it…

My top 3
1. Navi
2. Nuteki
3. Iyul

Navi is the best but Belarus had a lot of good songs. Jury chose these worse songs. Pauline deserved to grand final.

I don’t know if it’s just the quality of the videos, but it sounded like most of them were either screaming or just completely off-pitch. Elements of some were alright, but there definitely isn’t a Eurovision winner in there

Every entry of these 13 is worth something but I liked only 5 of all. My Top 5: 1.Vladislav Kurasov – I remember him from Evrobachenya 2016 where he was amazing. I hope he wins this selection. 2.Anzhelika Pushnikova – her voice and the song reminds me of Julia Savicheva (Russia 2004). It’s even better than Julia. 3.NAVI – I really love the Belarussian realness and melody in this duo. 4.PROvokatsyia – the duo sounds quite nice. The song sounds interesting. 5.Alexandra Tkach – powerful voice and nice song. Btw.Napoli hasn’t improved but rather disimproved and is going to a… Read more »

I think that Follow the Play is in another level, what a piece of a song! And great voice! That boy can match the result of Koldun in Kyiv for sure!

I like Alexandra Tkach’s song the best. Everything about it is really good but I would be surprised if it was chosen for Eurovision.
Nikita Hodas has a really nice voice but the song was a little too strange for me.

The rest? Bleh.

There’s improvement over last year selection (which was awful). This year overall they have good songs, some of them are actually very pleasant, like NAVI.

Compared to UMK, Belarus puts Finland to shame imo.

i actually think this is an improvement over last year that being said i have a really short list of ‘decents’ and nothing better than that: NAVI because, well, it’s NAVI and they’re probably the only ones that could qualify for Belarus Alexandra Tkach – Be More Free // more of a ‘walking home on a rainy day’ song than a Eurovision song Isaac Nightingale – On The Red Line // this was cool and I like that Belarus is taking itself seriously this year, I look forward to the studio version and like this more than some of the… Read more »

WOW. Finland, take the back seat. Or, whatever, you are irrelevant.

Belarus, what a nice surprise! Nice selection. Whoever wins, I don’t care, these are good ones. And Anastasia, I love you! 🙂 Nuteki, is that Coldplay? Hahaha… I think that they may go to Kyiv, finally!

Vladislav Kurasov’s could become a decent song, with a little polishing. The last guy is giving me slight Sigur Ros vibes, he’s interesting but ultimately his song is not much of a song, really.

I guess he’s trying a country thats a lot easier to win the NF now !
