Spain is staging one of the most convoluted national selections of Eurovision 2017.
And on Thursday the Objetivo Eurovisión madness continued with RTVE revealing its Top 30 choices for Eurocasting — the Internet wildcard — which were culled from 392 song submissions.
Beginning on December 2, Eurovision fans in Spain will have 10 days to pick their favourites. The top 10 will then face a special jury, with three ultimately competing in a special webcast sing-off. The winner of that wildcard final will be selected by the public, and face-off with another set of artists hand-picked by RTVE in the final of Objetivo Eurovisión 2017.
You can listen to all of the songs below. If for some reason a song isn’t loading, visit the RTVE Eurocasting page to hear it. Then vote in our poll. You can vote for as many acts as you’d like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to click the box next to each act you want to support before pressing submit. Let Spaniards know who you are supporting!
I’m Spanish and I really prefer Nieves Hidalgo rather than Brequette. And in this poll the have the same amount of votes. I hope Nieves Hidalgo does to the Nacional Final ????
Well, for me it’s obvious that Le Klein’s Ouch! Is by far the best option. Brequette song is Ok but lacks power and stays very flat throughout the song…”Run” was a much better song. I hope that RTVE & my fellow Spaniards pick the right candidate ( for once! ). Go Le Klein!!

As of right now my three favourites are in the top 6 of this poll…..hopefully one of them comes through
It’s obvious that Gio (or any friend of him) is spamming some international eurovision webs saying his song is the best. I’m so sorry. It’s NOT. Get over it.

My GOD! It’s soooo obvious that Gio has been here. Look Gio, your song is not only a bad song it’s actually a terrible one , and I’m gonna give you a piece of advice, you sound off-key in LOOOOOTS of moments, apart from that this is not a masterclass or a voice class, this is a song and this is something that you haven’t learn.

My impression is that a lot of these songs are good radio songs but maybe just okay for being performed on stage at Eurovision. A lot of them don’t have that big, punchy power moment that would get votes.

I go with COME BACK TO ME (VUELVE A MI) by GIO. I think is the perfect mix for Spain, Europe will love it, and his voice is amazing singing that song live (as I watched on Youtube). That’s my opinion.
Actually, depending if he can sing it live or not, I really like Pedro Elipe’s entry “Del dolor”. It’d be a risk considering I think a lot of broadcasters would go for more emotional songs after Jamala’s win, but it could be like The Common Linnets and sneak into a good placing…

Only six of these song would get VERY HUGE HITS, both in ESC and in the rest of the world! These are (random order):
Perfect Storm – Ektor Pan
Live It Up – Fruela
Hard To Love You – Lem Baquero
Thousand Suns – Padre Damian
Volvere Por Ti – Rebeca Moss
In Love – Romy Low
I agree with Robyn’s later comment: lots of middle-of-the-road songs, but nothing really stands out to me. I ended up voting for about a third of the songs (which I actually don’t remember since I wasn’t keeping track, hah), but a lot of them I voted for only because it has potential but still needs a revamp of some sort. I was waiting for a Eurovision-style key (or tempo) change, but I didn’t quite get that from any of them. There are a few ballads which may do well, but I think the most ready for the competition out of… Read more »

Brequette would make a good choice and I like this song better than her previous one, but frankly, I don’t get her musical choices. She has the voice and look of a soul legend, why does she do cheesy pop? With the right song she could do amazing things at ESC.

Leklein – Ouch!, Father Damien – Thousand suns and Carmel – Waiting for a better end are my personal TOP3. To watch a priest singing an upbeat track at Eurovision would be funny and I think he would end in the left side of the table just because of that.

4.- Brequette – ‘No enemy’

6.- Fruela – ‘Live it up’

@ Marc – I’m afraid of that too. The gheys are the Eurovision’s main audience in Spain, the good sistrens will not vote for a man to represent them despite us not hearing a male voice from Spain since 2010. Too bad that Brequette song is… forgettable? Another bottom 5 placement would be on its way.

From Spain
Here it feels the Battle will be between Brequette and Javián.
Spanish eurofans are always obvious and they go with the safe (and wrong) choice.. that will lead Spain to the bottom once again. Always the same mistake, so Brequette is probably winning this.
Another act that is getting so much support is Damián.. He could surprise despite having a dated Swedish song.. idk.
We already know the names in the internal selection and don’t expect anything good from that.
I hope the others Big 5 will play better

From the whole list it’s very simple : Nicky Triphook and “Daddy’s little girl”. I think the song needs to improve a few things , but once the song is finished , this is a complete hit . It has the best lyrics, best beat. Spain has never sent anything quite like this. I’ve also seen this guy on YouTube and man, this guy CAN sing ! He’s got some Mika covers and some Il Divo and tho in “Daddy’s little girl” he’s not showing range , he’s got an extraordinary voice. You wanna take a gamble , Spain? Pick… Read more »

Phantoms Paradise, Wildcard, Nicky Triphook, and Javian are the best songs here. I can’t stop listening to “Madrifornia,” it’s so good! It probably won’t win the selection, but it sounds fresh every time I listen to it; definitely my favorite. “We’re Not Heroes” is good fun, and I’m a sucker for pop rock songs like “Summer Nights,” even if it’s a little generic. “Daddy’s Little Girl” is spunky, and has some killer lyrics. I also like Milena’s “Momento” and Nieves Hidalgo’s “Slave,” just because of the drama and emotion in them.

i apparently have really weird taste here 1. Brequette / No Enemy honestly too good of an artist to be in the internet voting round, at the same time no enemy sounds too cheap to roll with the big singers in the internal selection 2. Inigo / Hoy Es Por Mi (why does nobody else like this? ? ?) 3. Iranzo Iranzinix / Bye Te Digo 12 year old me would have loved this 4. Alicia Nurho / Under The Light completely unedited, how authentic 5. Luna and Ahora Soy Yo because my school has this huge salvadoran community and… Read more »

I think Rebecca’s song, if she’s any good live, is quite powerful. I do think if the chorus instrumental continued with the second verse, it’d be more memorable, however. Padre Damián has some nice lyrics but you can’t really connect with them as well as you could if he worked on his enunciation a bit and maybe brought the chorus up a bit? Brequette’s song is okay but considering Más was much better than No Enemy – she needs to bring us, to quote William, South African tribal realness and slay it with a good live performance. Most of the… Read more »
