Switzerland: Sinplus drop “Capisci (One Love)” — the first single from their third album

Since representing Switzerland at Eurovision 2012 with “Unbreakable”, Sinplus have been keeping busy. The Broggini brothers won Best Swiss Act at the MTV EMAs, they’ve penned “Tieniti Forte” for the 2016 European Gymnastics Championships and were invited as special guests on the Roxette tour. And now they have a new single “Capisci (One Love)”.

The track is the first cut off their new and long-awaited album This Is What We Are. The album will drop on January 20.

Built around the Italian word for “understand”, “Capisci (One Love)” is a lyrically contemplative song that has feel-good instrumentation. It’s anthemic and club-ready. Speaking exclusively to wiwibloggs, Ivan and Gabriel Broggini explain:

The idea behind “Capisci” was to convey a feeling of freedom. You can’t command love, you live it and see how it goes. The Italian word ‘capisci’ recognises our Italian language roots. We tried to mix a dancey groove with a dreamy guitar melody, and came up with something we like.

The dancey groove is evident in the artwork and accompanying music video. Sinplus explain further:

We wanted to create something special by shooting something in a “modern art” way with message icons and bold graphics. We wanted our messages to be in your face.

“Capisci (One Love)”, which is out now, is the first track of the upcoming album. It gives listeners a taste of what to expect on the new Sinplus LP, which will no doubt be life-affirming, positive and optimistic.
