Csilla Tatár and Levente Harsányi — veteran hosts — will steer the show, which has so far managed to produce Eurovision finalists every single year since its introduction. A Dal knows how to slay!
Last year Freddie finished 19th in the final with his pop-rock song “Pioneer”. Do you think any of this year’s acts can improve on his result? Let us know in the comments box below!
Spoon 21 for me 🙂
In a group of 30 songs there may be bad, average and good ones. In A DAL 2017 I think we have a lot of average songs. but there are a bunch of song that can stand out:
Dávid Henderson – “White Shadows”
Soulwave – “Kalandor”
Spoon 21 – “Deák”
Totova and Freddie Shuman feat. Lotfi Begi – “Hosszú idök”
Joci Pápai – “Origo”
I also like other songs like:
Benjámin Pál – “Father’s Eyes”
Zoltán Mujahid – “On My Own”
Chase – “Dust in the Wind”
I was expecting something more from Kallay…
It’s a pretty weak A Dal :/ Not too bad, but not as strong as last year
My top 10:
1. Spoon 21
2. Calidora
3. Soulwave
4. Kállay Saunders Band
5. Kyra Fedor
6. Joci Pápai
7. Zoltán Mujahid
8. Gigi Radics
9. Andi Tóth
10. Totova
Ádám Szabó and Chase also sound pretty good, but i don’t really like the others.
A Dal is always such a weak and boring selection. Only “Got to be a Day” is good.
Spoon 21 for sure !!
SPOON 21
@polegend gagarina
I like szelerem Kell…….including the chorus……its not very catchy but feels very uplifting
@zolipop Rain is giving me major celion Dion ‘go on’ vibes……nice
I already like 4 songs of the 12 released thus far…..finally some good news from some NF
My favorite so far is Rain, good luck to Viki! 🙂
@Tusan
I didn’t like it at all honestly.
I hope Hungary will send something fresh, radiofriendly and current
Atm I’m with “Soulwave” and “Spoon 21” 🙂
I love Hungary, so I wish you will do well! (We need Esc to be held in beautiful Budapest soon 🙂
Marc, I’m Hungarian and as for now I’m siding with Totova feat. Lotfi Begi all the way. (btw Begi is a member of Compact Disco who represented us in 2012 and he also did the music for Oláh Gerg?’s “Gy?z a jó” this year, he’s awesome)
Totova’s song is one of the worst so far. It feels so Esc 00’s.
A Dal has some songs much better. I trust Hungarians will pick right 🙂
Totova just blew me away – thanks Tusan for posting the link. 🙂
I also really like Spoon 21. Actually Hungary might have the strongest selection of a country so far (apart from Sweden) – is that fair to say?
Guys, I think we have a winner:
TOTOVA & Freddie Shuman feat. Lotfi Begi – Hosszú id?k

Spoon 21’s song is phenomenhal. This should definitely go to Eurovision, this contest need such fresh entries. We should wait for all Hungarian songs, but I doubt that there will be even better entries, this one’s just perfect. And the performance which was uploaded below – so modern, something we haven’t seen in the contest yet. SPOON 21 Hungary please!
Spoon 21’s live performance, so cool:

Spoon 21 all the way, I’m obsessed. Disappointed with Kállay Saunders Band.
I want Éva Novodomszky back announcing the scores. That woman is a LEGEND. As for the songs: Got to Be a Day – I love this one. Not sure if it would work at the contest, but it’s a very good track. White Shadows – Gross, keep trap-influenced EDM out of the contest. Keresem a bajt – Forgettable EDM. No thanks. 17 – Not the tea. Uneventful and weak. Voice is too whiny. It’s a Riot – Whew, finally something different! It’s a fun rock song, the type of stuff I always enjoy. Kalandor – It’s like a more upbeat… Read more »
David Henderson is great with White Shadows
OMG YES! My country has some pretty good entries that have potential: Spoon 21, Kállay Saunders Band, Soulwave and also Jetlag. I love them, and i’m so happy that we have good entries. I’ll be curious for the rest of the songs thou.
Spoon 21! Kallay kind of disappoints me once again 🙁
Listened to “17” – good song, but not as good as “Who We Are”.
Also checked out “Kalandor” because everybody seems to love it, and so do I.
I’ll listen to the rest when they’re all released.
I’ve just checked Hungarian charts and “Kalandor” is a Top 5 Hit in Hungary and it’s been played on the radio a lot.
Hungarians seem to love it, potential winner of A Dal for sure.
JB, i speak Hungarian, but honestly, there are parts that even I can’t clearly get. The lyrics just like most of our pop song’s, doesn’t make any sense (And yes, their youtube chanel also confirmed this) 😛 I’m not a big of the ones we got so far, I hope there will be something really cool but not too modern 🙂 I’m kinda sad ÍV and the Passed aren’t here this year, they were bringing some enjoyable songs. I don’t know the majority of these artists, but that isn’t something new, I rarely listen to Hungarian songs 🙂 Let’s just… Read more »
Kallay-Saunders Band for Eurovision, but with another song, like “Victory” or “Who We Are”. Something energetic, 17 is just a dull song.
love love love jetlag
17 is actually pretty good too (this is coming from a kallay saunders h8er)
kalandor is blocked in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico 🙁
It’s a Riot is great….real oldschool pub rock 🙂
Only 10 songs so far and I really like 4 already. Great job Hungary once again 🙂 It could be the best A Dal ever.
These songs are not made for Eurovision, they just sound radiofriendly, Spotify and 2016. Totally my thing.
Look how many views they have already. Awesome.
Atm I’m going with Soulwave, so so good!
I also really like David, Spoon 21 and Szabyest.
David Henderson’s song was so gooood
Soulwave with ‘kalandor’ is a possible top 10 for hungary! I also like keresem a bajt
Don’t like 17 that much 🙁
