Georgia national broadcaster GPB are working hard to set up their national final. It was only last week that we learned the 28 names hoping to compete. GPB haven’t kept us in suspense too much longer, as today they published all remaining songs for y’all to listen to!

Only 26 acts remain, however, after both Ancho Dolidze and Ani Kekua have left the contest. But we’re still left with a big number of acts to go through and we can’t wait to see what will happen next. Of course, while we know the songs, we still don’t actually know what GPB plans to do with them. A further cull is expected, but the broadcaster remains silent on how they’ll do this.

In the meantime, you can check out each song on the official Soundcloud release below. Simply click each song name to hear the track!

GEORGIA’S EUROVISION 2017 SELECTION: FINALISTS

There’s a good mix of genres and languages here, with a handful of songs in Georgian entered at this stage. Mainly though, we want to know what “Bithard” or “Avol Waves” are! There’s some promise here though, which is good to see at this stage with Georgia – a country known for their revamps.

Both of their latest entries “Midnight Gold” and “Warrior” were revamped by Swedish maestro Thomas G:son. This year though, G:son is already looking busy. He’s been announced as writing the song for Cyprus’ singer Hovig and he’s also involved with a number of Melodifestivalen entries. It’s still possible though that G:son will come on board to produce the Georgian song.

Whoever goes through will also be hoping for the same success as both those songs. Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz finished 20th in the final with “Midnight Gold”, even earning 12 points from the British jury. Nina Sublatti slayed us with her gothic realness in 2015, finishing 11th in the final.

Who is your favourite so far? Are you more excited for Georgia’s national selection now? Could any of these songs get the country’s first Eurovision win? Share your thoughts below!

Alisa Danelia is probably the best, but she has enunciation issues. It’s “eternity”, not “etornity”.

I think avol waves is that pattern of bars that comes on soundcloud…..someone made a teeny mistake while uploading I guess…….inside it says light it up

Me Da Shen is tragic, literally it’s like that flop from a few years ago they sent that came dead last in the Semi-Finals.

So far though they have the most encouraging selection but most of them would need a revamp.

@zura/qristi/Jon……hope you realize posting under one fake screen name is sufficient to show support……no need to work so hard to type multiple screen names and say the same thing over and over again

Cool 🙂

Now we have candidates for Finland, Belarus, Switzerland and partially Spain, and now also Georgia. But what about – ALBANIA??? Isn’t their national finals first? Don’t they plan to announce songs to the public before the show?

All songs are above or slightly above average, but Georgia always manages to be creative with the staging so they will do fine. And they have qualified with lesser songs before so..

Best thing with ESC 2016, was Georgia qualifying 🙂

Respect for them in ESC! Often great quality songs. innovative and daring. only 2010 and 2013 are boring

My favourites are Bithard and Avol Waves and Me da shen, but I think the second one wouldn’t have much chances to do well. It’s still a very fun song

Kurdadze

@pineapplepan there is no any special things that it can be explained but I can tell you : dze- means son; shvili-child (no metter girl or boy). These surnames come from many century. For example take my surname: kurdi- means thief 😀 so you can imagine- thief`s son 😀 😀 😀 (but I am girl); Or Bidzinashvili- Bidzina is man`s name so it is Bidzinasa`s child.. so I try to make some idea about Georgian surnames ^_^
