eurocasting final spain eurovision 2017

Spain’s Objetivo Eurovisión powers on this week and broadcaster RTVE have given us further details of what to expect. The Eurocasting Final is set to take place on Thursday, January 12 and we now know the exact format. The show will be streamed live on RTVE’s Eurovision website at 20:00 CET. Mark those calendars, y’all!

What’s more, the fate of LeKlein, Fruela and Javián could be in your hands. RTVE confirms that anyone is eligible to vote, whether you’re in Spain or not. Voting is free and can be done either on the Eurocasting website, or on RTVE’s Official Eurovision app. The catch is that only one vote will be allowed by IP address, to avoid mass-voting.

Voting will be open for a 15 minute period, once all three acts have performed on the stream. The voting is 100% based on the public’s say. That may appease some fans who were unhappy to see the likes of Brequette knocked out by the jury in the previous round.

So, what else can we expect during the stream? Well, there’s set to be “two surprising performances” as a tribute to Eurovision during the show. Knowing how passionate Spain gets for Eurovision, we’re expecting to be slayed by whatever RTVE produces!

Perhaps most importantly though, we’ll also learn the identities of the internal acts selected by RTVE. These acts will join the winner of Eurocasting in the grand final, which will determine Spain’s 2017 representative. We’ve talked in the past about rumoured acts like Mirela and Paula Rojo as part of this group.

There’s also the question as to whether Romania’s Ovi will have a role in one of the internally selected acts. He posted a picture alongside Spanish producer Isaac Luque with the hashtag “#escspain”. It doesn’t look like we’ll have to wait too long to find out whether he was just teasing us!

Are you excited for the Eurocasting final? Who do you want to win? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. Make sure to check back on wiwibloggs for our full preview ahead of the Eurocasting final as well, and for all the results as we get them.

#GonnaRootForJavianInTheEurocastingFinal
Javian is the only one I particularly like in the Eurocasting final, so hopefully he wins. Otherwise if LeKlein or Fruela does, then I’m going to wish that the internally selected entries have better songs, or Spain is probably likely to get another placing on the right side of the scoreboard.

Javian’s song is the only good one here IMO.

So, when one of them wins, they get joined by… ? … and the final is decided by… ?

What actually happens afterwards? Quite confusing.

Thats because this selection is only 2 days away… Of course it will be the current most talked about.

One thing you need to give them credit for is that they definitely know how to make a buzz! Like this preselection seems to be the main headline one right now. Im not hearing many people talking about Malta, Estonia, Finland, Belarus or Georgia so well done to the producers in Spain!

I want LeKlein to win but I’m expecting much better songs from the internally selected artists.

For me, the more exciting part of the news there is that we’ll learn about the internally selected acts. Should be fun 🙂

That’s awesome they’re allowing international voters the chance to make the call, too! I’ll be watching and casting my vote! Go, go Javian! 😀
