Get ready for a marathon! Three weeks ago Georgia confirmed they will host a 25-song national final on January 20, at the Tbilisi Concert Hall.

And today GPB revealed the running order during a special presentation hosted by Natia Uznadze and Natia Mshvenieradze in the capital.

Our Georgian contributor  Rezo Mamsikashvili attended the presentation and the closed conference afterwards. From what he gathers Georgia is going big and hopes to turn its national final into a mini-Eurovision with all that it entails. We have to keep our lips sealed for the time being, but we can say this: GPB is taking this very seriously.

Giorgi Chikovani will open the national final and Davit Shanidze will close it. You can see the full running order below.

ME DA SHEN PLEASE ???????? it is not at all like three seconds to earth, that song did bad because it was super alternative and weird and boring to most Europeans (I liked it though ). Me da shen has such a cool vibe and it would be a hit among the televoters.

06 Nutsa go and slaaay!!
Just not Me Da Shen, it will be just like Three Minutes To Earth. I liked this song back in 2014 but Europe didn’t seem to do so and I want Georgia to do well in ESC… Anyway, best of luck to all the contestants!

I look very much forward to this NF 🙂 Last year Georgia qualified with their great indierock songs – my best momement of ESC 2016. IN general, a country with many good and innovative songs. They dare a lot….send songs which might be “dead commerically”, but are still quality, and they stick to them 100 %….such as Three Minutes To Earth Reports say this is a very diverse NF in terms of musical styles…swhich songs primissing. I just hope they still will pick something brave and interesting, and not try to adjust themselves for ESC this year (they did in… Read more »

I have no idea who is my favorite, but the ones that I do usually like and listen to are Alisa, Nutsa, Malibu, Tako, and Mariko. I think these may be the ones I’m rooting for on the 20th.

Georgia has a fantastic selection this year! Best of luck to all of the artists.

Also good luck to Rezo, who seems to be everywhere at once. (His face is even on the news photo for this post! Is he presenting the Georgian National Final?)

The three strongest contenders are all so close (06, 07, 10). I honestly don’t know what to expect from this national final… Also, the 40/60 thing seems nonsensical to me, I hope that the televote makes up the 60%. Also lemme remind just how super cute Rezo is!

The number 11th makes me and my bf nervous. I hope her song leads fan poll only because of some promos over media…
