After a very long wait since we first learned who will compete at Melodifestivalen 2017, today we finally got our first taste of the competing songs with 30-second rehearsal clips and one-minute studio samples.

But earlier this week, before the acts slipped into their tightest pants and headed to Gothenburg, we asked you to vote for the act(s) that you were most excited about prior to today’s reveal. We counted a total of 1,476 votes and it’s clear who was generating the most hype.

Wild child Ace Wilder — a two-time Melodifestivalen finalist — topped the poll by a huge margin. Miss Wilder (not her real name) secured 648 votes, or 44% of all those cast. Recently she told reporters that her Melodifestivalen 2016 experience “gave her panic attacks”. Let’s hope everything goes more smoothly this year.

And so far it seems it will. Her tropical, jungle-inspired staging sees her standing centre stage while a troupe of male dancers do most of the physical work around her. She can instead focus on nailing her vocals. No stress so she can impress!

In second place is another fierce lady — and one with some very bright pink hair.

Dinah Nah, who finished last in the Melodifestivalen 2015 final, returns to the contest with “One More Night“, another uptempo track that includes a “Wall of Fierce” — aka, a bunch of female backing dancers with blue wigs.

Miss Nah earned 21% of all votes, which amounts to 317 votes in total. We only heard the first minute of her act today, but she appears to be setting up a massive chorus. Dinah always goes big — and hopefully she won’t go home…

She is a two-time Melodifestivalen winner, a one-time Eurovision winner and, among schlager fans, she’s also the girl (who, sadly, didn’t even reach the andra chansen round on her latest Melodifestivalen attempt).

But Charlotte Perrelli has returned to Melfest with a completely different style. Prior to today’s clip reveal, you guys still had high hopes as La Perrelli got 12% of the vote.

Melodifestivalen 2016 finalist Boris René finished fourth with 9% of the vote. Last year he sang about putting love in a litter box (or at least that’s what we heard) but this year he is coming back with “Her Kiss” — a decidedly retro number that smacks of a 70s discotheque. Boris will open the show on Saturday.

The debutants didn’t spark much interest among our readers, as they finished fifth, sixth and seventh in our poll. De Vet Du — the four-piece comedy group that includes DJ Hunk — finished in fifth place, followed by Nano, who closes the show on Saturday, and 19-year-old rapper Adrijana.

But all of this can change now that we’ve seen the snippets. We’ll launch our new poll tomorrow — Friday — asking you who should win this heat based on what you saw today. We’re giving you the night to mull it over…

Poll results: Which deltävling 1 act are you most excited for?

1. Ace Wilder with “Wild Child” 44% (648 votes)
2. Dinah Nah with “One More Night” 21% (317 votes)
3. Charlotte Perrelli with “Mitt liv” 12% (178 votes)
4. Boris René with “Her Kiss” 9% (134 votes)
5. De Vet Du with “Road Trip” 6% (86 votes)
6. Nano with “Hold On” 4% (66 votes)
7. Adrijana with “Amare” 3% (47 votes)

Were we? Omg… I think she’ll go to Second Chance but fail to get a ticket to the final with that song.

She won’t win with this song I think. It’s similar to her other songs like Riot, which I don’t like either.
