Back in 2011, they finished third in the final of Channel 5’s first series of Celebrity Big Brother. But in their second stay in the famous house, Ireland’s 2011 and 2012 Eurovision representatives Jedward did one better and finished in second place, as former Loose Women panelist Coleen Nolan won Friday night’s final.
It hasn’t dampened their spirits as they were proud to have beaten their 2011 placing to achieve a personal best.
The Grimes brothers entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in early January. The series had an “All Stars vs New Stars” series format, where format CBB stars reentered the house along with first-timers.

Their 2017 experience was a stark contrast to John and Edward’s previous appearance when they managed to avoid ever being nominated for eviction. This time around Irish twins were up for eviction every time — but thanks to the support of their existing fanbase and new fans, they managed to avoid early eviction.
Jedward’s road to the Celebrity Big Brother final has been far from plain sailing. Being much more outspoken this year, they mentioned the other housemates were expecting the Jedward of 2011 and were quick to pre-judge the duo. And they lived up to the comments on their VT saying they’ll be less innocent, more bad-ass rock stars.
But John and Edward won over new fans as they stood up for themselves in the house. The Grimes brothers did not back down and remained true to themselves.
The pair also brought plenty of their trademark Jepic antics to the house, a marked contrast to many of the other housemates who seemed happy to sit around smoking and gossiping.

I love their twin connection I have twins they’re 20 and I see similar connections such a special bond and the way they over speak each other cracks me up , they so deserved to win. They were polite kind funny and gentle and true to themselves go Jedward
Jedward really brought a lot to this series! I supported Jedward, Nicola and Coleen, so I’m happy with the result :).
It is better to be second, instead of a controversial winner.
And is great to have a twin, it is more than friends for life, I love how they always look in each other eyes and need no words.
