A few days ago we asked you which Sanremo 2017 act you are most excited about, based on the artists’ back catalogue and their careers as entertainers, singers and performers. You guys cast more than 2,700 votes, proving that you have opinions and are ready to share. Stand up, speak out, slay all day!

We are as excited as you to follow the performances of the 22 singers on the big stage of the Italian festival. And before tonight’s first show, it’s time to reveal the results.

SANREMO 2017: WIWI’S PICK

Giusy Ferreri has NO rivals! The Mediterranean beauty — who reached 10th place as the Italian representative in wiwivision, our alternative Eurovision Song Contest, with her eight-times-platinum hit Roma-Bangkok — came out on top in a landslide. She earned over 27.95% of all votes cast!

In second place, with 16.30% of the vote, is Michele Bravi. He’s a Sanremo debutant and a former X Factor winner, who recently made headlines in Italy after opening his heart to the public by admitting that he was in love with another man for two years.

The sizzling Disney music star and TV host Lodovica Comello — who has amassed more than 5 million followers on social media across the world — comes third, having collected 14.83% of the overall vote.

WHO WILL SING WHEN?

Yesterday, during the first press conference of Sanremo 2017, we discovered which acts will sing in which live show.

Tonight we’ll listen to Al Bano, Alessio Bernabei, Clementino, Elodie, Ermal Meta, Fabrizio Moro, Fiorella Mannoia, Giusy Ferreri, Lodovica Comello, Ron and Samuel.

Tomorrow we’ll hear Bianca Atzei, Chiara, Francesco Gabbani, Gigi D’Alessio, Marco Masini, Michele Bravi, Michele Zarrillo, Nesli & Alice Paba, Paola Turci, Raige & Giulia Luzi and Sergio Sylvestre.

Alessio Bernabei is underrated. Al Bano is overrated.
