Back in January she told wiwibloggs that’d she revamp her song “Botë” into English and make it more Eurovision-friendly.
And it seems that Albania’s Lindita Halimi is well on her way with that, as today she and her composer Klodian Qafoku both published a sneak peek of her freshly revamped song “World” on Facebook.
This, my friends, is how an orchestra slays…
Clearly touched by the fresh symphonic sound, Lindita wrote: “I’m all in my feelings right now… sneak peek of ‘WORLD'”
The re-orchestration of the piece sounds somehow fresher and more contemporary, even judging from just a few seconds. This will go down very well with fans of the original version of the song, and also with those who said the song needed to be pulled toward 2017.
We should note that this is just one of the versions Lindita and her team have prepared.
Speaking to wiwiblogger Erdi on Facebook, Lindita said: “They made different versions but we gotta keep that original feeling even if there are slight changes that put more drama [into the song].”
On January 2, during a Skype interview with wiwibloggs, the American Idol alum — who recently shared the cover of PEOPLE magazine with Oprah — said that the song will represent a third way between Eurovision and traditional orchestra.
“We will definitely make it more ‘Eurovision-like,’” she says. “It’s not going to be as ‘orchestra’ as it was because honestly you can’t really do but so much with an orchestra. You can’t put in electronic sounds and stuff. Even though it’s a grand ballad, we’re definitely going to make it a bit more today, because the song is a bit too classical for the young ears.”
Are you loving this sneak peek as much as we are? Do you think that Lindita has just booked herself a spot in the final? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Stai buono compagno ! questo non è un mercato… Cosa c’entra il dissenso con il delirio e l’offesa personale ??
This is by far the best… Gonna vote it
Wait what? An entire orchestra only to make “slight changes” to the song? Or have I misunderstood what she said?
Got shiver from listening to it. It’s gonna be yuge (sorry for the pun)
When I first heard Conchita I instantly knew it was a winner. Even when the song was disregarded by many and bookies as her at 66/1. Dare I say it….. I have the same feeling about Lindita.
Oh crap, you know you type too fast when you don’t notice a small yet significant typo.
Sorry about that. hehe 😀
Magpie, Lindita speaks English as a second or other language as she has been living in the United States for a long enough time for her to fully be immersed. We’ve already seen in her interview with William that she is quite fluent so being able to rewrite a song in another language should be a breeze to her.
PS: I also an ESL speaker. 🙂
Oohhh. Is the video showing two different arrangements, or one arrangement but different parts of the song? Because I’m quite liking the second part more. Very epic sound! 🙂
They definitely need to keep the orchestra! Either as in the original version or the new arrangement, they’re both fabulous!
Albania is #3 for me so far even before the revamp, and I like what I hear in the snippet!
So far so good! My #2
@KennyESC
That doesn’t mean that it is guaranteed to be in decent English. There are still plenty of songs today created on these “English” countries that are ridiculous and still don’t make any sense at all.
It sounds so much like Uematsu’s work for Final Fantasy. Get it, gurl!
It just sounds exciting…
Can’t wait for more
The video with the orchestra was amazing! If the music is orchestric (if the song actually sounds like it’s played by an orchestra) I’ll love it!
And the sneak peak was great too. Until now, I don’t really like the song because it seems like she’s not singing (the NFversion) but I think I always listen “aaaaaaa” and I can hardly distinct words (I don’t know albanian). But now the music and the lyrics fit so well! I feel I’ll start to like it more. Looking forward to the full song!
For me best albanian entry so far is song from 2010 than song from 2012, 2005.. With that song from 2010 , they desered to be in TOP 5
They also made mistake few times when they change language of song , song from 2014, 2016 sound much better in albanian.
Oh good, so they’re keeping the orchestra. Thank god.
I love this song. It might be the best Albania entry ever. 🙂
Pirates of the Caribbean??
@magpie
Lindita lives in USA from a lot of years so I think she knows “a bit”of English. :^)
btw we have to hope other countries will send sh*tty songs for Albania to pass, even if WORLD is one of the best songs for now..
Please no awful English translations (*cough* Albania 2016 *cough*)
Problem is only Albania is harder semi with countries with good record to go to final. They have Italy, Montenegro and Greece to vote for tham, they can count on 34 points with televote from 3 countries and they must get minimum 70 to 100 points from other countries from juries and televote. For final last year Croatia got 133 pointa in I semi and Serbia 105 in II semi.
OFF TOPIC: Maltese Junior Eurovision 2016 representative Christina Magrin is releasing a debut album in a few months.

I love the orchestra sound, I hope she doesn’t wipe it off completely
Already liking it more that the original ????
There’s a reason why I’ve kept her on top.
Glad that she kept the orchestral essence. It seems like they’re just tidying up production and changing the language, so the revamp won’t be as drastic as usual.
I love contemporary and classical Orchestra because I play in one myself and therefore I LOVE instrumental parts in songs (e.g. LoveWave)
Oh this was sooo exciting ….it made me shiver like never before just like the guy said filled my lungs with real art
Yeah, so far so good!:)
Linditaaa it sounds promising, that filled my lungs with music
