Loren could chart in the USA with that. If she wins Melfest, it’s Gothenburg 2018.

Oh, but I also hope Wiktoria gets the other ticket. It is my kind of music. It’s just… Loreen really overshadowed the others for me. But go Wiktoria! She’s my clear choice after Loreen.

After listening to the entire song, I am team “Statements” all the way.
And that’s coming from someone who opposes any kind of hype and wanted Estonia’s Ott Lepland to win in 2012.
In my opinion, Loreen’s current and haunting song is a great example of a political song done right, much more so than Jamala’s winning song from last year.
I have no clue how Sweden will react and vote but there’s no doubt for me that Loreen is a class of her own here.

Ok now i have listen to all song..I have now set my top three of the whole melodifestivalen: 3rd place: Loreen (cool song but,i don’t know really, not my cup of tea but way better then the ones outside the top three hehe) 2nd place: Wiktoria (Very close one between her and Loreen but Wiktoria is put here since she has a more radio friendliy song i suppose..i want to listen to songs after the competition but sure the song is typical mainstream..and reminds me of the swedish song “Vart jag än i världen vänder”…) 1st place and my winner:… Read more »

No need to compare Euphoria with Statements, it’s different songs in different genre. Both equally brilliant.
Also don’t buy “it’s to artistic” nonsense. When has that ever been an issue? Did you all forget artistic songs are quite succesfull these days? Conchita, Jamala, Il Volo? Even Euphoria was artistic enough..

Loreen is metres above all. She’s an artist in a field of performers. A breath of fresh air amidst all catchy pop songs this year. She should win going by the jury criteria of originality alone!
But will she..

I Love Loreen sooooo much, she’s amazing, Statement is amazing! Edgy, cool, beaty, and with a great message, I truly hope she will make it to the final. Commersially and Pop-wise Wiktoria will win the whole thing, Melodifestivalen and Eurovision, the song is uptempo, happy, poppy perfection, and she’s the cutest.

SVT released every other finalist’s videos, so…

Mariette & Robin Bengston would do the trick for Sweden this year. 😀

I don’t know about Loreen, compared to these two it is artistry and such, but the upper two are more enjoyable, so voting for them. At least Robin can be top 5 (totally different package than Jamala last year). 😀

Good luck Robin. Good luck Mariette.

Loreen honey, good luck in AC. Hahahha

The chorus of Statements is a bit too much. My top 3 for the win are Mariette, Wiktoria and Lisa Ajax (if she makes it to the final).

Now I know that Loreen wrote Statements for her album and Christer Bjorkmon convinced her to put in Melodifestivalen I am a little pissed. I think he knew her style wouldn’t be translated well into MelfFest an just wanted ratings. I have a bad feeling Loreen will do very bad today when her song is the most experimental out of all the generic chorus’

Since I am probably the only human that prefers Måns’s “Heroes” to Loreen’s “Euphoria” (Not as a qualifier, just a good song to keep listening to…DON’T SHOOT ME PLEASE), I am in love with Statements. Sure, it’s not up to Euphoria’s high (read: high) standards as a qualifier, but it is my favorite song and I want to replay it again and again because I am one of the Scandipop outsiders. I wish Loreen (and Wiktoria because I am a stan) the BEST of luck tonight from the US (though it will be 14:00 when I watch hehe)!! (I can… Read more »

Loreen can win MF and Eurovison only with huge support from juries like they are pushed so hard her at Eurovison 2012 and she didnt deserved almost half points higher than Pastora, Rona, Nina …

Loreen song is worst of her 3 song at MF. I’m crying from laughter when read of many eurovison Loren fan, what thezy wrote, that Loreen song is not song that is for their weird music taste is piece of art. Her song is so pretencious, with cheap marketing political lyrics and lyrics is better than music of song.

I don’t understand the fuss about Loreen, I agree that Euphoria was one of the best songs that won Eurovision but this time, I would love to see Jon and Wiktoria going to the finals, both deserve it and Loreen for Andra Chansen. Unpopular opinion but that is how I would love this to be.

The four songs which will qualify are obvious… the SVT polls say it, the betting odds say it, the Wiwibloggs poll say it…

Loreen och Wiktoria – DTF.
Jon Henrik w/ Aninia och Alice – A/C.

My top 7:
“Statements”
“As I Lay Me Down”
“När ingen ser”
“En värld full av strider”
“Running With Lions”
“Bound To Fall”
“Du fa inte ändra pa mig”

Loreen and Wiktoria will probably advance DTF, while Alice, Axel and Jon/Anina will battle it out for AC. Les Gordons and Sara/Jula are doomed for 6th and 7th place.
In my opinion, Loreen shouldn’t go to Kyiv though. Robin or Mariette for the win!

Loreen is going to take Melfest and Eurovision once again! This is is experimental, powerful and in some way danceable. It promises great staging that will be unforgettable. Stockholm 2018 I say! And those pipes Loreen!!!

"As I Lay Me Down" is by far the catchiest and the most enjoyable to listen. "Statements" is also good, but a bit too screamy at the chorus imo.

Loreen could win Eurovision again, but I’m not sure about Melodifestivalen though. Swedes are a tad too conservative. Wiktoria, Axel, Jon feat. Aninia and Alice all have awesome songs. It’s a very strong semifinal.

Wiktoria presents the most catchy song of this melfest. It’s better than “Save me”. It’ll work on repeat and Spotify. She is up for this melfest.

Jon is also really really good.

Well, well, I think I’m on the verge of becoming a Loreen supporter. Still need to hear those last 30 seconds, but the song speaks to me and makes me focus. My mind was wandering with all the others, but Loreen managed to grab my attention throughout. The song makes me want to know what the songwriters meant and felt. Whereas with the rest I feel like I know exactly what they felt “Let’s write another bland song for Melodifestivalen.”
I’m a bit surprised about not feeling Wiktoria, I really liked the snippet.

Viktoria has a very cool song as well.<3

My AC choices are Alice and Jon Henrik with Aninia.
