After previously representing their country at Eurovision 2010 with “Run Away”, Sunstroke Project are returning to the contest this year with the quirky dance song “Hey Mamma”.
In case you thought the lyrics are about Mother, you couldn’t be more wrong. Actually the “mamma” in question is an overprotective “mother-in-law”, who is preventing the young man from having fun with her daughter.
Blessed with the unique presence and sound of Epic Sax Guy, Sunstroke Project won Moldova’s national selection and will therefore grace the Eurovision stage once again this year. The quirky song also had a funny staging at the national final. The three band members were flanked by three female backing vocalists wearing wedding dresses, in tune with the lyrics of the song, singing into bouquets of flowers. Because Moldova!
