Selectia Nationala 2017 interval acts

On Sunday viewers in Romania will choose the winner of Selectia Nationala 2017 in a 100% televote final. And today TVR producers revealed the surprise interval acts: Timebelle from Switzerland, Manel Navarro from Spain and SunStroke Project from Moldova. The running order has also been announced.

At the Selectia Nationala semi-final, the expert jury picked the ten finalists, with Ilinca feat. Alex Florea, Xandra and M I H A I receiving the highest scores. But will history repeat itself on March 5?

Selectia Nationala: Interval acts for the final

The 3.5-hour national final of Selectia Nationala 2017 will need some serious filling. TVR is sorting that out by bringing three Eurovision 2017 representatives from other countries to promote their songs. Thus, the viewers will get a chance to meet the winners from Switzerland, Spain and Moldova. Timebelle will perform “Apollo”, while Manel Navarro will sing “Do It For Your Lover” and SunStroke Project will grace our ears with “Hey Mamma”.

Two of the three members of Timebelle are Romanian, including singer Miruna Manescu, and it was only natural for them to make this known to the audiences at home. Manel is not embarking on his first promotion — he previously performed his song during the third semi-final of Ukraine’s national final. It will be the first time that Sunstroke Project will hit the road with “Hey Mamma” outside of Moldova, and we can’t wait to see Epic Sax Guy thrusting his hips in Bucharest.

TVR has announced that the winning act of Selectia Nationala 2017 will also receive a 5,000-euro cheque, which could come in handy when staging the performance in Kyiv. Also, a voting viewer will win a car offered by one of the sponsors of the national selection. Sign us up!

Selectia Nationala 2017 final – running order

The running order has been drawn live on TVR tonight.

  1. Ana-Maria Mirica – “Spune-mi”
  2. Ilinca feat. Alex Florea – “Yodel It!”

  4. Xandra – “Walk On By”
  5. M I H A I – “I Won’t Surrender”
  6. Maxim – “Adu-ti aminte”
  7. Tavi Colen & Emma – “We Own The Night”
  8. Instinct – “Petale”

Do you want to know why Mihai is lucky? …Because he feeds dogs from animal shelter..he has kind heart.

Boobs alone can’t win the ESC. Fortunately, Switzerland’s entry also has a good song, good musicians and a great singer. 😀
Oh dear Manel… what are we going to do with you at the London Eurovision Party? I begin to feel sorry for him to be honest. 🙁

chris : Those boobs i die for

Yes that deserves focus…they look natural not NOT like 2 fake balls. This is how boobs are meant to be.

@ riggedObjectivoEurovision – you know that at the Eurovision the general public outside of Spain won’t know or care about the Spanish selection, right? Nobody will boo him in Kiev if not a few sore losers, and if people at home will like his rather enjoyable song, they’ll vote for him.

Lmao who cares if Yodel It is #2, it’s just 10 songs and it would stand out in any position.

Remember, Voltaj opened the show in their selection and got first in the televote. So let’s hope Yodel It can win performing early too.

In 2015, Voltaj performed first and still won. Back then, there were 12 acts, so people shouldn’t think that a early draw is bad.

“Yodel It!” will without a doubt be our song for ESC. If even the jury gave max points to Ilinca & Alex, then why wouldn’t the public?

Voltaj won performing 1st, so I don’t see why Yodel It! can’t win performing 2nd

Ouch!! Better production, awesome staging and better voice than this cap chosen by Manel’s friends.

May someone break down his teeth
Shattered bones on the floor
No matter how wrong he’s done
People are stronger enough to beat him.
And make him shout:
Ouch ouch ouuch aahaaa

I would like to see MIHAI win but I think it will be that awful Yodel It song They are really the only contenders, the rest of the line up is poor

I like the three guest acts. The three of them are refreshing. This year has no major standouts so far but not too many songs I dislike.

They invited their best friends, and that’s great:
Switzerland, with a Romanian lead singer.
Spain, the country that always votes for Romania (other than Moldova)
Moldova, Romania’s sibling.

Anyway, Yodel will perform second, which is interesting. Romania doesn’t have other standouts besided MIHAI so if they don’t win it, it’s probably gonna go to him.

Wow Manel and SunStrokes! My favourite acts so far. Pity that O.Torvald and Triana Park are not there.
