Kristian Kostov Bulgaria lyrics beautifull mess

On Monday morning Bulgaria’s BNT described “Beautiful Mess” — Kristian Kostov’s song for Eurovision 2017 — as a cinematic number focused on storytelling in addition to musical delivery.

And this afternoon they proved the point, releasing the lyric video for the track, which is polished and well-produced, with a flash of Justin Bieber (in a good way).

The “Beautiful Mess” lyrics tell a story of love — not in the romantic sense, but in terms of friendship and humanity.

As BNT has said: “The main character is a youngster who is facing a world full of darkness that he is living in and is searching for an oasis of light for him and the people he is willing to fight for.”

In Kristian’s world, values are worth the struggle no matter how high the obstacles. As he sings: “We don’t have a thing to lose, No matter what they say or do, I don’t want nothing more, Our love is untouchable.”

You can read the complete lyrics below.

Beautiful Mess lyrics — Kristian Kostov

When the world shakes us,
Trying to take us out of line
Fear of tomorrow
Feelings we borrow for a time
Water so deep, how do we breath
How do we climb?

So we stay in this mess,
This beautiful mess tonight

And we don’t have a thing to lose
No matter what they say or do

I don’t want nothing more,
Our love is untouchable

Even in the line of fire,
When everything is on the wire

Even up against the wall,
Our love is untouchable

Our love is untouchable

When the colours turn grey and the lights all fade
to black again
We’re in over our heads
But somehow we make it back again

Water so deep,
How do we breath
How do we climb?

So we stay in this mess,
This beautiful mess tonight

And we don’t have a thing to lose
No matter what they say or do

I don’t want nothing more,
Our love is untouchable

Even in the line of fire,
When everything is on the wire

Even up against the wall,
Our love is untouchable

Ohhhh
Ohhh no no no

Even in the line of fire,
When everything is on the wire

Even up against the wall,
Our love is untouchable

Our love is untouchable

I Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite so far!!!!!!!!!
I think it deserves 1st place without any doubt!!!
I love the artist,he is so young and so talented at the same time!!!
The lyrics is so unique(at least for me) and singing at this young age this type of song is incredible.
The song at his self is amazing, the backround music is so unique,I have never heard such a unique backround!!!
Definitely deserves top 5 at esc 2017!!!For me it´s a winner!!!!!!
Hope esc 2018 is in Sofia!!!!

This one…

I have no words…

It touched my heart & soul!

I like the theme, the bassline, melody and also his vocals.

This one to me, is the Dark horse for this year’s Eurovision.

It might just bring the next Eurovision Song Contest to the beautiful Sofia 🙂

Not bad. It is a bit typical but likable song over all.
My bet is that the staging will be quite good since this guy like dancing – not featuring himself is almost unthinkable. My bet is around 10-15 place on final.

Don’t really feel much in this song. But I’d say it’s likeable enough to qualify.

It’s a nice song, but I’m surprised that, considering Kristian’s diverse background (Russia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria), they came up with a quite generic song. They could have done much more, but it’s not bad though.

Since I didn’t know he was in the running, I didn’t watch any of his previous videos. I was not expecting that voice out of him! There’s a real gap between his age/appearance and the lyrics, and I really think that ups the interest and charm—having the same song sung by an older (and not even much older, maybe 25-30) artist probably wouldn’t have the same impact as he does. If he pulls off the live, and the staging is as good as they did last year (which I’m sure they will plan for), then this is definitely a qualifier.… Read more »

The song has more to it than Ireland’s and Australia’s. All three are similar in style but I think this is the one that I like most.
However, he is sixteen and the Australian vocalists are always on-point for Eurovision so Isaiah’s will probably finish higher.

Cute song but I’m sorry I just can’t review any of these songs any more. They all sound the same to me, it’s all just boring and soul less. All those so called contemporary ballads or mid-tempo that have nothing to do with the countries they represent, I just don’t see why bother sending them. This ESC’s theme is about diversity but I think it’s one of the least diverse competitions we’ve had in years.

This does nothing for me, nice song but nothing special. This qualifies top 5 in the semis due to how weak SF#2 is. But, it will struggle to make the left side of the scoreboard in the final.

At first listen it has left me cold. After two or three listens I like it a lot! Very emotional and captivating, those traditional instruments add more flavour. And yes it sounds very Troye Sivan. Bulgaria will qualify I think.

Right, now that my butt has stopped hurting over the disappointment of Gery-Nikol not respresenting Bulgaria I can honestly say I love this! Super modern and I agree that it is very Troye Sivan, albeit the low rent version.

Bulgaria and Macedonia are bringing it this year! Add this to Azerbaijan, Belgium and Iceland and we have what is shaping to be my favourite year since 2009. I’ve even been able to trick mates who think Eurovision sucks into thinking some of these songs were just off Triple J haha

Bulgaria has done it again. Saving one of the better entries to last again. Very impressed indeed. I am predicting a very high score.

This has the potential to reach a bigger audience. The song itself is well written and i agree that it is age appropriate for the age of the singer. I can see this having chart success too.

Big thunbs up from me!

By the way, Kristian’s entry is already being compared to a Troye Sivan type of sound. This could do very well if it gets that kind of following – that type of music is huge right now.

Good song, but not a winner. He can manage to top 10, though. A very talented young man!

So when all is said and done. We now have three potential winners. Italy, Belgium and Sweden. This will be really interesting!

Now the next important thing is March 25, Riga Preparty
I don’t care about countries that are so late, today is March 13, what do you think you gain if you are last to reveal?
Can’t wait to see the artists meeting each other in Riga, for the first time.

It’s good but I am not a big fan of his voice. I think it will be a borderline qualifier and there is a lot of them in semi final 2. There isn’t any stand out song in this semi, it’s the much tougher one to call. Now that we have all the songs in semi final 2, my top 3 right now are: Estonia, Switzerland and FYR Macedonia

2 composer one from Bulgaria and one from Sweden, compose 3 song for Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and all 3 is in same semi . For me best 1.Serbia 2.Macedonia 3.Bulgaria I think that only Macedonia will have problem with live performance, because I don t think that Jana will sound live like in video especially to to refrain of song. Macedonia have amazing begging of song, but after that sound is ok not amazing and they don t have good refrain. Serbia have better lyrics for me , and better refrain and better instrumental in middle of song. Bulgaria ,… Read more »

I can confirm what Polegend Gagarina said. Some rumours have even said Kostov had rigged the juries deciding who would represent Bulgaria and that Gery-Nikol was actually considered but the song tanked with the selection panel. I don’t know if that’s true or not but these are rumours on some forums.

Oops. To answer my own question:
“The composers of the song are Borislav Milanov from Bulgaria, Sebastian Armann from Austria, and Joacim Bo Persson from Sweden, all of whom were part of last year’s successful entry “If Love Was A Crime.”” [taken from the ESC website introduction]. 🙂

Does anyone know who wrote the song? This happens to have one of my favourite choruses of the year. First the negative: Perhaps the most frustrating thing is that Bulgaria had said in their introduction about the visual aspect of the story, but then sent along a lyric video. Hmmm. A questionable and misleading strategy. Now the positive: Do I like Kristian’s voice? Yes. Is the song about legally dodgy teenage “love”? No. (And that’s a very good thing.) It happens to be sung by a child, but the song would seem to reach far beyond cliches and age boundaries… Read more »

Another love pop ballad. The countries are not innovating which only blocks the progress of Eurovision. Well, i can say that his voice deserves some praise specially from someone that hasn’t surpassed the stage of puberty, eheh. So, unless Armenia emerges with something epic my top 5 is closed:

1. Portugal (with a huge margin compared to the rest of the competition)
2. Italy
3. Ukraine
4. Belgium
5. Belarus

Well, that was a bit of a disappointment! After Poli Genova last year, I expected something more upbeat and impactful with some Bulgarian ethnic/language elements. But, no, instead we get another generic pop ballad sounding like Ireland! What a shame. Sits about 30 out of 42 for me. Can Armenia pull it out of the bag?

I love the strings, sounds kind of Chinese in a way. One of the better ballads this year, but it is a bit slow for me. Will be around 19th on my list. Also I keep hinting it is a lot like Macedonia 2015 with Autumn leaves but better, anyone else getting this vibe?
