She sang the immortal line “red is red and blue is blue” at Eurovision 2016. Now, a year after she was first selected to sing for Slovenia, ManuElla is back with her new single “Salvation”.
The “Blue And Red” singer debuted the track at this year’s EMA national final on 24 February and we’re here for it.

“Salvation” sounds like a continuation to “Blue and Red” musically, but at the same time feels refreshed and current.
We can’t help but wonder whether the lyrics are hinting at the difficulty the singer has had getting over Eurovision 2016 — Slovenia finished 14th out of 18 in the second semi-final, failing to qualify.
“I tried to climb the highest top, I failed to listen to my heart”, ManuElla sings. Thankfully, it’s clear that she has found her salvation and is ready to pick herself up and climb even higher.

The Slovenian artist doesn’t seem bothered by last-year’s comparisons with Taylor Swift and continues her line of Tay-Tay styling both visually and vocally.
Fans noted that, despite the presence of back vocalists on stage, ManuElla appeared to lip-sync at EMA 2017. Naturally, there is no shortage of critical comments on the internet, but we’re willing to accept that this was the official presentation of a new single and the team wanted to serve studio version quality.
The performance was energetic regardless and we can’t wait to here more of ManuElla’s new music.

All Slovenian women are beautiful, to say that ManuElla looks like Taylor, is like saying that Elvis Presley was copying Anton Hagman.
