Behold the Baltics. Together Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have won Eurovision twice and regularly qualify for the grand final. Following 2015’s iconic edition in which all three qualified from the semi-finals for the grand final, they’re now hungry to make history again.

Eurovision 2016 was a year of wonder for Lithuania. Donny Montell’s comeback brought Lithuania back to the top 10 for the first time since 2006. Justs took Latvia to 15th place, but Jüri Pootsmann’s card tricks were not enough to get Estonia into the final.

But with a new contest comes new opportunities. Estonia‘s veterans Koit Toome & Laura are the bookies’ favourites for the Baltics with their song “Verona”. Latvia’s Triana Park electrifies with “Line”. And Lithuania is bringing a powerful ’80s throwback with Fusedmarc’s “Rain of Revolution”.

But which of the three Baltic countries is your favourite? You can listen to each song below and then vote in our poll. You can vote for as many acts as you’d like, but you can only vote once. Be sure to click the box next to each act you want to support before pressing submit.

Start voting now!

Estonia: Koit Toome & Laura with “Verona”

Koit Toome & Laura are all about drama and doomed romance with “Verona” — their intoxicating number that won Estonia’s national selection Eesti Laul 2017.

From the city of Romeo and Juliet to Kyiv, the experienced duo are giving Shakespeare rhythm. Is this dramatic throwback enough for you — or is it just a complete tragedy?

Latvia: Triana Park with “Line”

After smashing the competition at Latvia’s Supernova 2017, Triana Park will hope to keep their raw energy going as they head to the Kyiv stage. With edgy styling and neon lights, they’re marching to the beat of their own drum (and burning down a few buildings as they do). Their song “Line” talks about a lost lover and how lead singer Agnese can’t move on. Latvia once again embraces creativity and risk. But are Triana Park drawing a heart on you? Do you think they’ll be able to take Latvia a few places higher in 2017?

Lithuania: Fusedmarc with “Rain of Revolution”

Fusedmarc took the trophy at one of the longest national selections for Eurovision ever – Lithuania’s Eurovizijos atranka. With the song “Rain of Revolution”, lead singer Viktorija Ivanovskaja brings power and a very strong range. With trumpets a plenty, the song sounds like nothing else in this year’s competition. Are you ready for the rain — or would you like an umbrella?

Those are the songs and those were our first reactions. What were yours? Let us know by voting below, then shout out your thoughts on the wiwibloggs app!

Latvia definitely, it’s my favorite ever Eurovision song! It’s modern dance music with an indie feel to it at the same time, hard to come by such quality stuff in the contest. Very underrated just because the song is representing Latvia and not bigger countries like Sweden or Russia. It’s probably the dark horse of this year’s Eurovision.
Estonia is pretty boring and dated, but the singers are nice. Lithuania is just… horrible.

Mariam Habach, El Tocuyo, Venezuelaa!!!

Estonia by far! The song is romantic, classy, their voices goes perfect with one another (although the girl needs a little more practice), just what Eurovision needs.
Then Latvia.

Lithuania is battling for the last place in my top with Germany. I can’t stand both of them.

The Baltics have fallen off a bit sadly. Give me back the glory days of 2015.

Seems like the Baltics have finally cooled off after 2 fantastic years (well, Estonia and Latvia actually). Lithuania also deserves some props tho, say what you will but it’s a marked improvement on that shower of sh*t from last year (kinda hard not to improve on that, but still).

You all will be so surprised when Lithuania will be higher than Estonia. I am 100% sure this will happen. Though my bet is that Latvia might end up slightly higher than Lithuania. Estonia’s song is so damn annoying.

1. Lithuania (slightly better)
2. Latvia

Latvia is the best… in the studio version. Agnese’s live vocals ruin the song. The other two are quite detestable, Lithuania because it is objectively bad and Estonia gets on my nerves like no other song. Now that I think about it, all three have awful live performances.

I like both Latvia (15th on my list) and Lithuania (8th), but I’m still very sad Estonia is coming with this… nothing, when they had 7 great songs in the final ;-; It’s only 42nd for me.

1. Latvia, the most original here, in a good way.
2. Estonia, I really like the tune and everything, but it nothing special, (still crying over Kerli)
3. Lithuania, don’t like her voice it’s annoying, Vilija was 100% better than this.

@MollieLouise Don’t tell me that! Now I’m afraid too about “Verona”! Can happen! It can be a “Play” or a “Hear them calling” example! I also liked last year’s song, and I was surprised it didn’t qualify! However, I have hope for this year as 2nd semi is more open! On topic: Lithuania is a mess! I don’t like it at all! Latvia brings sth different to the contest, and I give them credit! They are creative! But I don’t understand what she’s singing, obviously except “where we draw the line” and for some reason I don’t feel it! So… Read more »

Armenia will get 80% Georgia 18% and Azerbaijan 2%. I don’t like Georgia’s song to be honest but Armenians don’t like Azerbaijan.

@fikri – If we talk Caucasus trio, I agree with you, I would be voting Dihaj in the poll. Azerbaijan has an interesting song that easily grips my attention. It is very different from their usual ESC safe choice, and I love it. Armenia is just plain boring. I appreciate the fact they didn’t go with a generic song, but originality needs some dynamics too. The song never climaxes and it is even hard to distinguish a chorus among verses. Georgian song is good. It actually has all the right elements to reach top 10, but something just makes it… Read more »

Latvia is the best of the three, it’s very catchy. The live performances are a bit rough vocally though, I hope they improve between now and May.

Lithuania has some nice touches to it and has the advantage of sounding very different to any other entry this year. But again the vocals are a problem. There’s too much screaming and “yeah yeah yeah” going on.

Estonia is absolutely horrible: cheesy, dated and dull. Doesn’t deserve to qualify.

Was that just constellations of stars above Baltic which made last year entries great and this year just.. meh? 🙂
About Estonian duo- I don’t know who matched these two people or are they permanent duo or something, but chemistry between them don’t exist at all, zero chemistry, voices like in two different songs, the end result is terrible. But don’t mind me, maybe I listened too much Albano & Romina Power and ”Je t’aime… moi non plus” 😀 The song is listenable tho.

Latvia is probably the best out of these 3, but they’re all pretty terrible.

Estonia is super cheesy and sounds like a Modern Talking reject from 20 years ago. Latvia desperately tries to be artsy and edgy. Lithuania is a disaster.
