She’s the Armenian singer mixing traditional music with experimental sounds in her Eurovision 2017 song “Fly With Me”.

And on Friday Artsvik proved that she really is ready to fly as she released images from the filming of her postcard — the brief snippet that introduces each act before their performance at Eurovision.

The clip will see Artsvik flying over Armenia’s glorious landscape in a giant hot air balloon, accompanied by the song’s co-authors Lilith Navasardyan and Avet Barseghyan.

The postcard will also feature scenes from Noravank — an ancient monastery complex and a spiritual centre built in the 8th century.

Now one of the most popular tourist destinations in Armenia, it’s a stunning sight to behold — and one made all the more dazzling by Artsvik.

“I had a lot of fun shooting my postcard for Eurovision,” Artsvik said in a statement sent to wiwibloggs. “We spent the whole day traveling to different locations to shoot the scenes. It was tiring but very exciting.”

“One of the most memorable moments from that day was flying on a giant air balloon. It was always my dream and I am very happy to have this unique experience!”

Keen to give all of her team a chance to shine, the clip concludes with Artsvik enjoying time at a winery in downtown Yerevan.

Oozing camaraderie and team spirit, she toasts the capital with her three backing vocalists — Anushik Ter- Ghukasyan, Victoria Poghosyan and Amalia Margaryan — and the song’s co-author David Tserunyan, who you may recognise as the translator in our interviews with the singer.
