As we draw closer to Eurovision 2017, the points for the OGAE Poll 2017 continue to come in. OGAE Latvia and OGAE Romania have both revealed their votes. And while there are no changes at the top of the overall scoreboard (ciao Italia!), Latvia has kindly ensured that Poland has received its first set of points. Let’s take a look.

OGAE Latvia made the slightly unconventional choice to award their 12 points to their Baltic neighbours in Sweden. Latvia’s ten points went to Italy, and they generously gave Norway eight points. Latvia also gave Poland its first set of points, with four points ensuring that Kasia Mos now has a place on the scoreboard.

OGAE Romania gave their 12 points to overall favourite Italy, their 10 points to Bulgaria and their eight points to Sweden. Romania had no points to give the star-crossed lovers of Estonia, but they kindly had six points for Azerbaijan and a single point for Ireland. Romania also gave some sweet love to Switzerland, with the Romanian-Swiss group Timebelle earning seven points.

On the overall scoreboard, Azerbaijan has doubled its points to 18 and now sits in 15th place. As to be expected, Italy remains at the top with a total of 215 points so far.

But the margin between Belgium and Sweden is narrowing and 12 points is all it will take for Sweden to slide in to second place. And of course Poland has debuted on the scoreboard, joining the fun in 24th= place.

I’d should check with you here. Which is not something I often do! I get pleasure from reading a submit that can make individuals think. Additionally, thanks for allowing me to remark!

Latvia proving their amazing sense for music once again. Great list and they never dissappoint with their own entries.

She can sing very well. You don’t like her voice it’s ok. It’s your taste but saying she can’t sing is just hate.

Seriously I am so sick of wiwibloggs posting things about Italy! The song is just cheap and terribly outdated! Every time I go on wiwibloggs their has to be something written about Italys song or Italy! I feel sorry for the other countries not getting any praise! More than half of the other entries this year are better than that foolish Italian song!! Who else agrees!

It’s not truth. The song is all over itunes. It is not like the other similar pop songs does not mean that is it dated.

Yes I do agree, it’s Italian frenzy, ok, they may win, but who cares, hardly anything on Estonia,

You’re such a sad person! If you don’t like a song, it doesn’t mean that’s a bad song. Just matter of tastes: I guess there’s a reason why no Eurovision songs have reached 100 millions views on youtube so far …while “Occidentali’s karma” is right going to do!

Ugh, ogae Latvia, no paldies for leader. However, unexpected 5pts to Belarus.

Portugal continues to slip down.

does a song have an expiration date???
i can’t understand those who say that a song is “outdated” or “this song is suitable for 2008 and not 2017”. do that fact make the song less worthy to listen to?

Well. Italy, France, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Norway, Azerbaijan are NOT the neighbours of Latvia! Take it easy that Belgium`s song might not be everyone`s favorite!

Serbia without any points yet is a surprise, but Finland absolutely deserve to be Top 10. Estonia is the one I can’t believe is doing do well. Given the range of different styles it’s almost inevitable that everyone is going to dislike at least one top ten sog every year. (For me it was Russia in 2013, Sweden in 2014, both Italy and Ukraine 2015….though there wasn’t any song I really hated in last year’s top ten actually!)

I think it’s just for fun where different Eurovision clubs in different countries just vote for each other. It’s not that accurate tho (it can predict top 5 but Ukraine came 9th last year in this poll)

OGAE Romania is crazy. 12 points for Italy? Where is Hungary?
OGAE Romania avoided the traditional friend Moldova, they think that they are so neutral if they vote for Italy (not only this year).
In the grand final (May 13) guess that Romanian jury will give 10 or 12 points to Italy, because it was the same for Il Volo (12 points), but will be a shame not to give points to Joci Papai.

I love Hungarian song too, but why do you think that that it is crazy to give to Italy 12 points?
Crazy means to give points to a country that doesn’t have any hope to win…but giving 12 to Italy will not be crazy at all.
Maybe the liked the song…don’t you think?

”Crazy means to give points to a country that doesn’t have any hope to win”

Don’t agree with that at all. If you like a song you should give points regardless of that song’s chances.
But all this positive wave for Italy seems that everybody goes with the flow.

This is insane. This is why I hate favorites. Everybody will give them 12 points (or 10) just because they heard they are favorites. This is worst than diaspora vote. Where is your personal taste? Why do you care who has most chances to win? You should vote only what you like.
Hope that now everybody understood why so many votes for Italy.

Don’t you consider the fact that maybe they like the song and not as you re saying?
Or maybe this song is their personal taste?
Just one questions. If the country that you support or prefer could get all this hype as the italian song, would you react the same?

Loo and Bella would support Sweden no matter what. They were the same last year.
I personally think Sweden won’t win this year. Top 5 maybe, but it won’t win.

Italy, Belgium or Bulgaria will get it. Could even be a surprise winner like in 2011, maybe someone like Australia, as we all know they will win soon anyway.

…and you know what? Italy won’t mind at all! Eurovision is not a popular contest in the Country. Two years ago people complained a lot for IlVolo not winning but very few italians did care about it. For Gabbani this is just an important stage to increase his and his song (already HUGE) popularity. Under this point of view Italy’s the real winner! Now you can keep on hating… … …just pay attention to your blood circulation!
