With little more than a dozen clubs left to reveal their points in the OGAE Poll 2017, it’s now time for OGAE Germany and OGAE Iceland to give theirs. Italy continues to be the overall favourite, but Portugal has taken a big leap with points from both clubs.
Germany has two OGAE-affiliated fan clubs and OGAE Germany was the first to reveal its votes. Their top points went to overall fan favourites: 12 points to Italy, ten points to Belgium and eight points to Estonia. OGAE Germany also had four points to give to Finland, and three points to Hungary.
OGAE Iceland also had points to deliver — and their favourites were overall OGAE favourites. 12 points went to Italy, ten points to Belgium and eight points to Sweden. Iceland had three points to give to Australia — a country that’s slowly but surely been picking up points in the OGAE poll — and one point for Azerbaijan.
In the overall scoreboard, the top three remains strong. Italy is in the lead with 335 points, Belgium has strengthened its second place total with 225 points, and Sweden is still challenging in third place with 217 points.
Portugal had the biggest shift. After receiving six and seven points from Germany and Iceland respectively, Salvador Sobral now has a total of 61 points and is sitting in seventh place, up from ninth.

One of the reasons why OGAE voting is usually very different from the end final results, is, the fact that this associations vote before the real show based on the music videos with perfect sound mixes,etc some of the internal selected artist haven’t even sang the song live when some of this associations vote. And we very well know that there is a huge difference with the presentation on stage compared with the video, ex France last year (one of my favourite last year, I still listen to it) lost so much with the staging, had nothing to do with… Read more »
