Spain Manel Navarro releases his first EP while finishing his promotional tour

Eurovision 2017 is just around the corner, but Manel Navarro has one last surprise for all of his fans before stepping out in Kiev.

Yes, just weeks after serving as host artist for the first Eurovision pre-party in Spain, he has given us something else to celebrate by releasing his first EP.

What else could it be called but “Do It for Your Lover”?

Manel’s new EP

The album features his well-known (and biggest) hit “Candle”, which oozes love and tenderness. But it also includes his Eurovision song “Do It For Your Lover” in all its versions — from a beautiful acoustic version to an urban remix.

For this last dancefloor banger, Manel has collaborated with emerging artist Danny Romero. Danny actually sings the second verse of the track in the remix. Both manage to serve some real latino charm and give the song a whole new feeling.

Manel’s completes promotional tour

Manel has undertaken the largest ever promotional tour by a Spanish candidate in Eurovision — and he’s still going. After hitting Ukraine, Romania, the United Kingdom, Israel, The Netherlands and Spain, Manel’s now turned to Portugal.

From April 26 to 27, Manel served true Iberian realness in Lisbon, whilst presenting his song to Portuguese fans.

The Spanish hopeful delivered a special concert in Lisbon’s Instituto Cervantes, which was organized by OGAE Portugal, Sony Music and the Spanish Embassy in Portugal.

But if there’s one special moment we have been waiting for in this Eurovision promotion season, it’s been both Iberian candidates finally meeting. Manel and Salvador Sobral will soon “come together” on the “Para Mea Noite” TV show.

Our wiwiblogger Bernardo welcomed Manel to Portugal during his visit. Check wiwi.tv for the interview, which will be coming soon!

Manel as special guest in the Ukrainian Embassy in Spain

Just before departing for Portugal for his last stop of his promotional tour, Manel visited the Ukrainian Embassy in Spain.

During this celebration, Manel performed the acoustic version of “Do It For Your Lover”, bringing his sunny vibe to the sun-soaked land. Ukrainian band Cherbona Kalina also brought some traditional sounds in a real cultural exchange.

Eladio Jareño – RTVE director – thanked the Ukrainian Embassy for such hearty hospitality. He also showed his support for this year’s Spanish candidate, promising they will stay involved in this final stretch to Kiev.

“We’re going to Kiev with great enthusiasm. Manel has a really good pop song and he has been truly involved in his promotional tour”

This EP is the last attempt (and chance XD) from Sony Music to make some money thanks to Manel&Eurovision. Jordi, you forgot to comment it is only a “very limited” launch of 1k phisical copies, in a country with 46M habitants…
