On Thursday she slayed the semi-final’s phase of “Gana con tu voz” — the convoluted process that acts as a gateway to audition for La Voz, the Spanish version of The Voice.

And on Sunday Suzy competed in the local grand final in the Alcorcon region. Singing against 24 other semi-finalists, she came, she sang and she conquered.

Yes, our girl Suzy — a Eurovision 2014 veteran with a heart of gold — won!

Portugal’s most beloved Eurovision ambassador has her sights set on a place on La Voz and today she secured a spot in the official casting round. Well done.

But there’s no time to rest. The competition is still underway and the next phase comes on June 3 in the same Alcorcon’s Shopping Center: TresAguas.

Suzy will compete with other regional winners for the chance to sing a single produced by the one and only Tony Sánchez Ohlsson — the genius behind Pastora Soler’s “Quedate Conmigo” and Edurne’s “Amanecer”.

Eurofans are already backing our Portuguese pop starlet.

She’s feeling grateful about the endless love she’s receiving and says it has helped buoy her during and after Eurovision.

As she said before performing at last year’s Wiwi Jam: “I’m so blessed that after two years I still continue to perform for fans.”

The “Quero ser tua” singer has also reached out directly to her Spanish fans: “I need they support in this competition, in my new home, in my new country, Spain”.

As the on-line casting phase comes to an end, there’s still no news on when “La Voz 5″ will actually start.

However, other international editions of the voice will resume this fall, so we can only assume Spain will follow a similar path.

We will keep you up to date as Suzy continues to shake things up!

How are you feeling about Suzy making it to the official casting of La Voz? Do you believe she can win the chance to record a single with Tony Sánchez Ohlsson? Let us know in the comments section below!

Why does La Voz Espanya make it so difficult for aspiring contestants to take part in the blind auditions phase?
