He took us on a intergalactic journey through “Space” in Kyiv, but ultimately crash-landed at the semi-final. Now Slavko Kalezic has brought his braid back to our screens tonight with his audition on The X Factor UK 2017.

The Montenegrin diva performed Beyoncé’s 2012 single “End of Time”. It’s the same song he used for his 2013 X Factor Adria audition, but with the confidence and swagger that only a seasoned Eurovision performer can deliver.

While Simon responded with slack-jawed bewilderment, Nicole Scherzinger was feeling Slavko’s fierce energy. She proclaimed, “Slavko has arrived!”

It was earlier revealed that judge Louis Walsh spotted Slavko backstage in Kyiv and suggested he audition for The X Factor. And Slavko is a fan of the Irish music manager, saying, “Louis Walsh is my favourite judge. He’s so lovely.”

Slavko will be hoping to improve on his X Factor Adria result. Back in 2013 he reached the Judges’ Houses stage before judge (and two-time Eurovision veteran) Zeljko Joksimovic delivered the bad news.

Judges Louis, Nicole and Sharon Osbourne were impressed enough to give Slavko three yeses, while Simon Cowell claimed he to was too overcome to vote. Nonetheless, it was enough to take Slavko to the Bootcamp round. There he’ll have to show another side to his talent.

Should Slavko make it to the live shows, he’ll be following in the footsteps of Finland’s Saara Aalto. The UMK 2016 runner-up defied the odds to reach last year’s X Factor UK final, before finishing second to Matt Terry.

What do you think? How far can Slavko go on The X Factor? Is the UK ready to be slayed? Share your thoughts below!

Lol. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel at X-Factor!

I don’t see what was so outrageous about his performance. He sang okay and danced okay while being stereotypically gay. That doesn’t make him a joke act. The only reason the judges made those clickbait faces was probably producer interference.

I love Slavko; he’s a great entertainer. Perfect for The X Factor. I agree with Louis Walsh! 🙂
Best of luck to everyone on The X Factor UK this year, both competing and producing.

Of course it was Louis Walsh wanting him through so badly. He has a thing for tragic novelty acts.

Indeed. That’s what makes the show “entertaining”. 🙂

I still remember his bandwagon-jumping interview where he claimed he was all about “real music” and “special voices” blah blah blah…

OMG, please do not mention his name in the same breath as Saara Aalto. She can sing. He cannot. He’s clearly here as the Honey G act…someone who can’t sing, but who, admittedly, can perform. Long story short: I’m not a fan. He’s not humble and he comes off as arrogant and a little wooden and boring.

What does it say about Eurovision when past competitors are forced to audition for such small talent quest shows?

X Factor UK alone airs in multiple countries around the world. I wouldn’t call it exactly a small-scale talent show.

With that said, Slavko didn’t much actual singing. Hopefully he does so at Bootcamp.

Looks like we’ve found XF 2017’s top novelty act(usually from the Overs). Hope he makes it to the lives ?

I’m sorry this screams off producer interference. The producers have done that before where judges have said yes to an act who can’t sing that well and then it’s come out that they originally said no but then the producers told them to change their vote in order for an “clown” or “entertaining” act to go through. It’s why I stopped watching.

The BBC are guilty of doing that too in our national selections. That’s why we ended up with Daz Sampson and Scooch.

I hate it. It cheapens everything.

He can’t do what Saara did last year. Slavko is a performer, not a singer

His vocals are horrible. Nothing more to say. He sings worse than me tbh – nothing personal.
