They’re the four-piece boy band that won the Dutch selection for Junior Eurovision 2017 last week. And on Sunday Fource dropped the first snippet of their entry for Tblisi — “Love Me”.

Scroll down for official snippet

Billed as a “sneak preview”, the 19 second clip gives us plenty to analyse. Lyrically, the Dutch team seem to be continuing with the formula that simple is better — there’s lots of repetition, multiple heys, and a fair amount of la-la-ing.

Hey, hey, hey, la-la love me baby,
La-la love me baby,
Yeah…
Hey, hey, hey, la-la love me baby,
I’d really like to love you too,
Here we go!

Sonically, the song owes much to Justin Bieber — both the young teenage version and the modern incarnation.

We also get a nice taste of the visuals, as we see Max, Jannes, Niels and Ian bust some seriously slick moves on the streets of Amsterdam. The quartet are dressed in stylish urban attire, a mix-and-match of dark shades and bright primary colours.

A quick scan of social media reveals plenty of positive reviews for their pop entry. “This sneak peak is way better than the best song in our (polish) preselection. I feel I’d cheer you on JESC this year, dear Netherlands” writes Slawie wrote on Junior Song Festival YouTube channel.

Another user comments – “This will be my number 1. 100%! I’m so glad you chose Fource! Love from Iceland and Slovenia”.

The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2017

Fource became the first boy band to be ever selected for the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision upon winning Junior Songfestival 2017. They impressed the jury with covers of “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” by Shawn Mendes and “September Song” by JP Cooper.

The group will take to the stage alongside at least 15 other artists on 26 November inside Tbilisi’s Olympic Palace.

I am really liking what i have heard so far for JESC 2017, and this is another good contender. I am already really proud of my country and this boyband. If their live vocals are good and their performance stands out, this can be a contender.
