Congratulations! Jovana and Zeljko Joksimovic welcome twin girls

They fell in love while preparing to host Eurovision Song Contest 2008. They later got married and had one baby boy. And now their family has grown two more members. Two days ago, Jovana and Zeljko Joksimovic welcomed not one, but two more babies. Congratulations!

The twins girls were born in Belgrade this Monday, the 2nd of October. Their father announced their names — Ana and Srna — on social networks, with a short, but touching post.

“The world has become richer with two more wonderful girls. Ana and Srna. Welcome, our darling princesses.”

Jovana and Zeljko married in 2013 in a small ceremony in the Maldives, after a five-year relationship. Their first child, a boy named Kosta, was born the following year.

Zeljko also has a daughter, the 21-year-old Mina, from his previous marriage.

One of the most famous and respected musicians in the Balkans, Joksimovic is the best known in Eurovision circles for his many great results at this contest. As a performer, he placed the second in 2004 with “Lane moje“, and the third in 2012 with “Nije ljubav stvar“.

As a composer, Joksimovic achieved third place with Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2006, sixth with Serbia in 2008, and 13th with Montenegro in 2015.

In 2008 he proved himself a triple threat when he hosted the Eurovision Song Contest. His co-host was future wife Jovana – then Jankovic, now Joksimovic – at the show held in Belgrade following Serbia’s victory in 2007 with “Molitva” by Marija Serifovic.

In the last few years, there have been constant demands by Serbian Eurovision fans to bring Joksimovic back to the contest, at least as a composer. His ballads are considered a certain recipe for success, especially due to their authentic Balkan sound.
