Having faced the audience for the very first time this series at Bootcamp, Slavko Kalezic and Berget Lewis returned to Wembley Arena for the Six Chair Challenge on The X Factor UK. And on Saturday night’s show, Slavko and Berget have both convinced mentor Nicole Scherzinger to earn a seat for the Overs category. However, they are not safe just yet.
Either or both of them could find themselves eliminated as the Six Chair Challenge reaches its conclusion on Sunday night.
Slavko Kalezic
“We’re gonna have to duck from his plait,” joked fellow Over Talia Dean, currently seated before being eliminated later on. Having got the mentor Slavko wanted, this was his first opportunity to impress Nicole. He performed the David Guetta single “Little Bad Girl”.
“Wembley, are you ready?”, the Montenegrin diva shouted before unleashing another entertaining dance break. And thankfully, the braid remained intact tonight following his mishap at Bootcamp.
Berget Lewis
Berget chose to sing “Always” from Bon Jovi. “Why?”, asked Simon Cowell. Berget then revealed she’d taken Simon’s Arena audition advice of stepping out of her comfort zone.
“I agree, because my comfort zone is singing soul music,” she told cameras backstage.
However, her Six Chair Challenge performance was met with mixed reviews from Sharon Osbourne.
“Berget, you have got probably the best voice in this entire contest. However, don’t be a cabaret singer, make yourself relevant.”
Simon also had his say on Berget’s performance.
“Berget, whether you may have misinterpreted for me, that is not what I was thinking you should’ve sang at all,” said Simon. “I thought that was really, really boring.”
Despite the feedback, Nicole had the final say as the Overs’ mentor and gave Berget the last empty seat.
But neither Berget nor Slavko are totally safe. The Six Chair Challenge continues for the Overs category tomorrow and both the Montenegrin diva and the Dutch soul queen could lose their tickets to the Judges Houses round.
Missing from tonight’s episode was the Welsh singer Jon Lilygreen — who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2010. It’s likely he will finally be shown to viewers as the Overs category concludes on tomorrow night’s show.
Really team Slavko anyway, because Berget Lewis screaming/vocal masturbation is not my thing. If this is the criteria, Lindita should have won Eurovision, and she didn’t. I prefer to listen Always-Bon Jovi. Don’t take a song and make it all scream!
Slavko would do so much better if he goes back to his look from ‘XFactor Adria’ when he was performing Beyonce.
Is still time for that. Go back to that look, you have more charisma that way.
ROCKET TO THE STARSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
jedward was a joke but at least they can kind of sing
More like they can kind of whisper.
I have a horrible feeling that Slavko is going to be the Honey G of this year
Slavko is far more original and entertaining than that culture freak Honey G.
The way the audience was screaming at Nicole to replace him, I have a feeling that he’s headed for an early exit as this year’s “contestant people love to hate”
Remember how many people hated Honey G? Yet she just kept making it through week after week. Even if people hate him already, he’ll do well for the same reason that he didn’t finish in last in semi final 1.
Garbage.
Actually, in the UK the word is “rubbish.”
(“Garbage” is what is said in North America. 😛 )
Yeah, so what?
Slavko and Berget are in a british show, not an american. 😛
and?
It was a joke you dum-dum
