They are the Swiss-Romanian act who represented Switzerland at Eurovision 2017 with “Apollo”. And during Eurovision week, they wowed the crowd at the wiwijam with a Eurovision 2017 mash-up sampling Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”. But now Timebelle has an exciting new project.

There’s no holding them back. This week, wiwibloggs is premiering an exclusive release of Timebelle’s new single “Come Around” — a collaboration with leading Romanian producer Soundland.

This EDM number has a teasing beat which drops into the chorus. The main synth riff is distorted here, but packs in a memorable melody. Miruna sings, “Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground… and you’ll see that you’ll come around.”

Her croons usher in a melody reminiscent of a computer sound production complete with modern taps and head-bopping beats. It is fresh, radio-friendly and very now.

“Come Around” interestingly pairs Miruna at her softest against a swirling dance beat. It features no guest vocals, but does wonders in bringing Timebelle into the 21st century.

Back in September during the Eurovision Live Concert in Setubal, Timebelle premiered the track.

The video, which was cleverly shot at night in Bucharest and Milan, captures two functioning urban spaces with bright city lights and yet no people. This strengthens the message of you being centred on your goals, as the world remains your oyster.

Soundland’s lead man Andy Platon features in the video wearing a dark hat and a silver-zipped black leather jacket. The other male figure in the video is Emanuel Andriescu, one-third of Timebelle.

Both gentlemen look stoic in the video, whilst Miruna dazzles in what appears to be half shots of moving images. Samuel Foster, Timebelle’s Swiss member is absent from this project. The timer on the bottom-right hand side of the screen gives the lyrical message a timely sensitivity.

Speaking exclusively to wiwibloggs, Timebelle explain:

“We filmed the video for “Come Around” in two different locations, Milano and Bucharest. The director Leonid Cojocaru wanted to convey a modern and minimalist image of feeling comfortable with ourselves, no matter what society dictates. “ComeAround” is about following your own path. Our collaboration with Soundland has been really productive. He is a very talented producer and composer, and we share great chemistry.”

“Come Around” lyrics – Timebelle

Mama told me so
Don’t care about nothing and nothing at all
Papa told me so
Don’t lose your way for nothing and nothing at all

So I do what I like, I do what I feel
When there’s nothing and nothing and nothing at all
So I do what I like, I do what I feel
When there’s nothing and nothing and nothing at all

Keep your eyes on the stars
Your feet on the ground
And you’ll see and you’ll see
That you’ll come around

And I won’t lose my way
I will go on when there is nothing left to say
I won’t lose my way
When darkness fills the sky and hides the day

Keep your eyes on the stars
Your feet on the ground
And you’ll see and you’ll see
That you’ll come around

You make news about ESC semi finalists new songs, but you did not make an article about the new song of Knez (ESC 2015)? Why? Just because, the music video is not “gay friendly”? Or did I just miss the article?

Miruna always have the most beautiful dresses (like Zoe in 2016). The only time when her dress was not beautiful, was the only time that mattered – on stage in Kyiv she was wearing an yellow chicken.

Good song. I’m not crazy about the electronic part from 2:30-3:00, but, overall, I really like this.
