lust in rio euroclub 2018

On January 3 RTP confirmed that EuroClub would be located in Cais do Sodré — a chic, waterfront neighbourhood of Lisbon. And today organisers revealed the exact location: the night club Lust in Rio!

On its official Facebook page, the venue’s PR team describe it as being perfect for those who love “an elegant and refined atmosphere” and boasts that the recently renovated space is “already recognized as the best space in the capital and one of the best in the country.”

The club is known for having themed evenings with live DJs, and is normally open from midnight until 6am, though we fully expect the venue to open earlier during the EuroClub residency.

We can confirm that EuroClub will be open from 4 May until 12 May. The official RTP notice on EuroClub says it will be a gathering place “for all accredited fans, staff, press and delegations.”

Cais do Sodré’s rise from seedy riverside district to trendy hotspot has been well-documented by the media.

In recent years it has become an epicentre of cool dotted with chic bars, popular clubs and elegant restaurants — all within steps of the Tagus River.

Eurovision fans have already pointed out that the area isn’t particularly close to Altice Arena. According to Google Maps it’ll take Eurofans at least 30 minutes to travel from the arena to the Cais do Sodré train station and metro stations.

EuroClubbers looking for some grub after a long day of work will be thrilled to know the area is home to Mercado da Ribeira — a massive food court with canteen-style communal tables.

Its endless stalls serve everything from seafood to hamburgers to sushi to traditional Portuguese tarts. And best of all it’s open late (until midnight Sunday to Wednesday and until 2am from Thursday to Saturday).

It’s also a short walk to Praça do Comércio, which will host Eurovision Village.

Eurovision Village, a key gathering point for fans during the Eurovision Song Contest, hosts live performances from Eurovision artists throughout the Eurovision fortnight.

It’s a great place for people to soak in the atmosphere of the event, regardless of whether they have tickets to the actual competition or access to EuroClub. It’s also a great way to mix with locals.

So Its not like in Stockholm that every fan could walk in at day time and it was only locked for accredited during the evening?

Thanks a lot Kiev. :/ I loved going to Euroclub in Sweden to taste the Swedish food and the meet and greets. Met a lot of awesome peopel there as well.

“EuroClub says it will be a gathering place “for all accredited fans…” – for the person who has never been to Eurovision events before and it’s going to his first year – how can a fan get accreditation? I know the process for delegations and press, but the rest of us..? Help, anyone??

The process is very similar and you can do it in the same portal. The bad news is that the EBU doesn’t issue a lot of F accreditations.

Oh, I thought accredited fans meant OGAE members.

Last year there weren’t OGAE accreditations, I think.
