We all were foreseeing tonight’s drama since last week. Ana Guerra and Agoney battled it out in Operación Triunfo‘s Gala 12, and in the end, Ana Guerra walked through and became the last finalist of the show, and therefore the last solo Eurovision candidate for Spain.

After two fierce performances, only one could survive and join Aitana, Alfred, Amaia and Miriam in the final. Agoney showed off his vocal range on Rihanna’s “Where have you been”, while Ana set the stage on fire with Camila Cabello’s “Havana”.

In the end, Ana beat Agoney with 50.3% of the votes — the narrowest margin of all OT 2017 votes. She will stay in the academy for the final two weeks.

Our readers got it right in our poll, as Ana Guerra won it by a larger margin, amassing 822 votes, a 63.67%. Agoney received 469 votes.

Agoney – “Where have you been” at Gala 12

Serving close-to-NSFW choreography and nailing the falsettos, Agoney made us explode with his version of Rihanna’s entry. The temperature rose on the stage, in Barcelona and in the whole world. He killed it!

Ana Guerra – “Havana” at Gala 12

Speaking of choreography, Ana gave her everything with the biggest show of the edition. She took us back to Havana, to East Atlanta and to the Moon with her vocals, her charisma and her dancing. Pure slayage.

Eurovision entries coming tomorrow!

Despite being eliminated from the OT grand final gala, this isn’t the end of the road for Agoney. He will still be part of the Eurovision gala, singing as part of a duet with one other contestant.

There will be a total of nine potential Eurovision entries in next week’s Eurovision gala. Aitana, Alfred, Amaia, Miriam and Ana will each perform a solo number, the finalists and Agoney will pair up and perform three duets, and the five finalists will perform a five-piece version of “Camina”, the OT 2017 anthem.

The nine songs will be revealed tomorrow. RTVE will stream a live show on their website where the songs will be revealed and discussed by the contestants that have recently left the academy.

Do you agree with the results? Does Ana deserve the final more than Agoney? What do you expect from the entries? Are you excited about the Eurovision gala next week? Tell us in the comment section below!

Aww.. That’s so sad. I expected Agoney to be the last finalist. The female singer is beautiful, but she’s not a good singer imho. That wasn’t the right choice I think. Ehh, whatever.. Good luck

Why was he doing all those semi-erotic moves with the male dancers? Wouldn’t it be sexier if he did it with female dancers?
He probably lost a few votes from teenage girls cause of that!!

He is gay, so he decided to do it with male dancers. Thats the reason

He’s openly gay as I know. So it’s normal that he’s dancing with male dancers.

Oh…but a lot of teenage girls probably vote in the show and it’s not the best idea to rub it into their faces that this guy isn’t available for you.But yes kudos for artistic integrity.I think he was better than Ana.

The same teenage girls that shipped all the One Direction members with each other? I think they’re more open-minded now.

I don’t know much about spanish TV and music, but… the girl was like REALLY off-key, and the song is a piece of cake!! The boy was interesting enough, he would be a nice entry for Spain (I haven’t seen the other contestants though)

Ana has been off-key most of the show, she’s clearly the worst voice but she’s very charming and she can be a show-woman, so that’s why she made it to the final.

Apologies, but there may be a mistake in the article. It says in big capital letters that the Eurovision songs are coming tomorrow, but then underneath that is says the songs will be revealed at an RTVE live show, which seems like it’s referring to “next week’s Eurovision gala”. Please could this be clearer? Thanks.

There is no mistake. Tomorrow, there will be a live show at 3pm (Spanish hour) in which the eurovision songs will be revealed. It’s not referring to next week gala.

All the info coming from Spain can be easily misunderstood. The 8 remaining songs will be PRESENTED today at 3 pm, but don’t expect the final versions. I’m pretty sure they’ll be released just as demos (although they seem recorded by established artists). I’m also sure the songs won’t be presented in full length, but just a snippet as last year. This is all done so eurofans can tune into OT the whole week until next Monday, when the songs will be presented and first performed live. Then, after the gala, the studio versions will be released, just as what… Read more »
