Stones Zibbz Switzerland

Tonight, Switzerland becomes the sixth country to pick their Eurovision 2018 entry. Back in January, we asked for your opinion on who should win this year’s Die Entscheidungsshow.

Now, we have a result. With 2,290 votes cast in total, Zibbz and their song “Stones” have demolished the competition, with nearly 40% of the vote!

Zibbz – “Stones”

The brother and sister duo came on top with 913 votes. That’s almost three times the votes received their nearest competition. Zibbz co-wrote their entry, along with Laurell Barker (who also has songs in the UK national final).

Zibbz was also the favourite of our Wiwi Jury. wiwiblogger Josh said this song is “a step in the right direction for Switzerland”, while Robyn had no doubt: “Go on, Switzerland. Give them the ticket to Lisbon”.

In second place was Vanessa Iraci. Her song “Redlights” sparked 376 votes from you, around 16% of the total votes.

Following Vanessa very closely was Entscheidungsshow veteran, Chiara Dubey. After finishing third in both 2012 and 2013, she finishes third in our poll too, with 353 votes.

And similarly close behind was Alejandro Reyes. His “Compass” didn’t quite point to the top three, but with just 14 votes less than Chiara. His 339 votes secured him just under 15% of the vote.

Total votes: 2,290.

Switzerland’s Die Entscheidungsshow airs tonight on SRF, from 20:00 CET.

Do you agree that Zibbz should be throwing their stones in Lisbon? Are you more fond of Vanessa? Or maybe it’s time to give Chiara her chance? Tell us in the comment section below!

Am I hearing a different song or something?
I mean all the Swiss songs are mediocre as they are every year.
But stones isn’t exactly euphoria so I’m surprised that it’s getting so much hype.

I’m rooting for Stones. If they choose Zibbz, Switzerland will easily make my Top10 in May…

I really don’t want Zibbs to lose this to the Compass guy. I think a lot of these songs scream borderline qualifier, but Stones would capitalise on the improvement Switzerland made with Apollo.

Really hope you guys are right. Stones could absolutely break the Swiss out of the semis if staged right.

Yet another year Switzerland seems very unlikely to make the final.
I liked Chiara Dubey’s previous efforts in Italian (especially “Bella sera”) a great deal, but her new song is insufferable to me.
“Stones” is the best choice for Switzerland indeed but I still see another semi-final exit on the horizon, regardless.

I personally would really like Compass to win. Stones is okay but not really my thing. They are the only two I can really see winning.

That’d be a great choice. Red Lights is too impersonal (that Bulgarian team is everywhere this year lmao), so Stones is easily my winner.

It seems that the odds are drifting away from Zibbz and towards Vanessa.
Do you guys think zibbz can win against the odds?
