AWS – “Viszlát nyár”

Gergely Dánielfy – “Azt mondtad”

Gábor Heincz Biga – “Good Vibez”

Leander Kills – “Nem szól harang”

Tamás Horváth – “Meggyfa”

Viktor Király – “Budapest Girl”

yesyes – “I Let You Run Away”

He should go with this. Much better chance of winning than his current version.

Horvath Tamas will not make the top 4 in the ranking of the juries…so thats out…AWS or YesYes are the contenders…I hate Yesyes…very weak vocals…it would be a huge flop …so im routing for AWS…not only routing IM GONNA VOTE THEM in A DAL final

I’ll be severely disappointed if YesYes will win whole thing here.

There’s two good rock songs with solid perfomances, yet Meggyfa which has some charm to it.

Meh, if Meggyfa and LK aren’t faves by juries, then I’m saying bye to it.

very strong final this year – 5 top songs in it – thank you hungary! – as winner i would prefer leander kills over AWS because they have the better & more catchy metal song.(bigger parts of that AWS song is noise with very hard guitars = noise nu metal?) what a waste to have 2 really good metal songs and totally 5 ESC caliber songs in one country final. i am also sure that leander kills will stepping back to their original metal version without that violin, acusticguitar ect. leander kills will be an outsider in the final because AWS,yesyes… Read more »

The top 4 of the poll is fine with me (I also liked Leander Kills before they threw a weird violin into their song). The only threat might be Viktor Király, who is probably gonna be among the final 4 because of Karoly Frenreisz, but I think yesyes will win A Dal (can someone explain me why their LED looks like a tentacle monster?).

I love all three songs leading the poll. I was stanning for Meggyfa for a long time but I Let You Run Away is reeeaaalllyyy good. And so are AWS! Hungary have a bunch of good options here – I can see them keeping their qualification streak up easily with any of the top three, possibly even making the top ten.

AWS or Yesyes are the best of a bad bunch. First time I have listened to any Hungary songs this year and quite frankly, I expected more from them.

Here are my fearless predictions: I think Gergely will win in Hungary, Laura in Latvia and Laud in Ukranie- sending wiwibloggs readers and wider ESC community into meltdown. And all 3 will also qualify for the final, sending you guys into a second wave of meltdown. Mark my words. 🙂

Go AWS!!!
My only fear is that people won’t understand its deep message. In fact, it’s about the last thoughts of a dying person, more specifically the singer’s dad. He sings in the chorus “goodbye summer, you are now late, because you lied that you would me mine, but you didn’t come…” That’s why he looks quite angry, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing, it’s just another form of artistic expression which you don’t often see at Eurovision.

If not AWS, then definitely yesyes, which looks like a safe choice, but it’s not that original for sure.

yesyes, Tamás Horváth, or AWS. I wish they used a 50/50 jury split or something because juries have too much power in the A Dal final.

AWS by far! I’d love to see some metal at Eurovision but not I’m not sure about their qualifying chances since it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea. Yesyes is definitely the safest choice for Hungary, not sure about the others :/

Yesyes! I loved “I Let You Run Away” since I first listened to it. My fav entry in this National Final season, so far.

AWS is obviously the right choice here, both in my opinion, and realistically. yesyes song is too much “wall of noise”, with a vocalist that’s not so good live. Meggyfa was ruined by a bad staging and a lackluster response from the jury. Gergely’s song doesn’t lift.

As for AWS, “Viszlát nyár” is an intense rock song that is more than just that, it grabs the listener, it has a distinct chorus, among other things that make it stand out, especially compared to other rock entries in both the past and present. A winner!

My two favourites, Leander Kills and Tamás Horváth, are disliked by the hungarian jury, so I don’t think they’ll win. But it would be awesome – especialy Leander Kills. Bring metal to Eurovision! \m/
My top 3:
1. Leander Kills
2. Tamás Horváth
3. Viktor Király

One of the toughest national finals, as most songs are really good. My vote goes to Azt Mondtad, an absolute masterpiece, as well as my second favorite, delightful Viszlat Nyar. Both of them would position Hungary in my top 10 for sure.

I was always a fan of Hungarian entries; they were original and I remember (and listen to) them even now. To be honest, I don’t see a potential winner amongst this year’s candidates. I voted for Meggyfa and Azt mondtad, simply because I liked them most.
Good luck from Poland.

I really feel that Tamás would be the safest choice for Eurovision. There is just no way that he would not qualify from a semi-final. Next bet would be Yesyes and as that seems more likely at this point, I would expect them to get the vote.

My favourite is Meggyfa, but somehow Hungarian juries do not like it, so it’s not going to win for sure. I just hope that they won’t choose yesyes, there’s nothing special about that song and it can easily get lost in the Eurovision final just like Freddie. On the other hands AWS would also be a nice choice since we don’t have any rock songs this year and it’s a very good one, it would definitely stand out in Eurovision. Choose wisely, Hungary.

Mmh, not too many votes for Gergely so far… Am I the only one who thinks Azt Mondtad is pure magic? Meggyfa is very nice as well, but I’m afraid yesyes will win because it’s in English, even though it’s just a generic pop song, nothing special.

I’m really surprised too! But the poll just open and plus people out of Hungary vote in this poll! I’m sure it will be number 1 in juries and definitely in top 3 in the public vote also from the rating he has got to the previous rounds. This song can bring a great result to Hungary because it will stand out and no matter in which position perform people will remember it! Like the opera song of Estonia which people say that is going to be favorite to win! Hope it wins! They don’t even need to do an… Read more »

Just a question I’m sure someone here has the answer to.

Since the judges are able to choose the four super finalists, does that already mean that the songs chosen to participate in the final by televote do not stand a single chance to actually make it to the last 4? Or might there be a slight possibility that the judges listen to the people and actually put forward a let’s say…. Tamás Horváth – Meggyfa ??? I’m a huge fan of that song.

It’s a nice song but no chorus and it will not stand out! It will suffer in the voting and people expect and stand out entry from Hungary from what they have present the last few years! Something a bit more ethnic

I so want to see Viktor win A Dal (and maybe his US fans could watch Eurovision on Logo if he qualifies).

It’s just that his song is not the I think that will do the trick for him. It’s good for an acoustic jam session but not for a highly competive song fest where it will drown.

But unexpected things happen so we’ll see.

AWS would be a borderline qualifier at best IMO. It’s the catchy pop-rock songs that do well, whereas harder rock tends to flop.. this is more likely to be the next Mala Dama or The Real Thing rather than the next Manga. Too much angry growling and screaming, not enough memorable melody. Should it win A Dal, I could be proven wrong in May… but this feels more like NQ than top 10 to me.

La Forza is a marmite song? News to me. I find it to be completely meh. Good vocal, non-existent song. No impact, but I certainly don’t hate it.

AWS on the mother hand will have a certain section of ESC fans running for the hills, but as a lifelong metalhead, I need this entry at Eurovision.
