Latvia’s Supernova only has one entry in the national language. And it comes from Madara Fogelmane in the form of the touching string ballad “Esamiba”.
MADARA (Madara Fogelmane) has played the cello since childhood, honing her skills through study in both Amsterdam and Brussels. It was only in 2017 that she started to perform as both a cellist and singer.
Her song is a meditative study on living life to the full and realising that joy is closer than you think. As she says in the Esamiba lyrics: “When you look into yourself and your being,
