When we last checked on the Eurovision betting odds on February 11, Bulgaria was sitting pretty as the favourite to win it all with odds as low as 13/2. At that time the Czech Republic‘s Mikolas Josef was down as seventh favourite with odds as low as 16/1.
As more and more entries have been revealed in recent days, Bulgaria has held steady at the top with odds as low as 5/1. This may be down partly to the hype, confirmed by Aftonbladet, that Loreen had been in talks about potentially representing Bulgaria at Eurovision…though their sources say she won’t do it after all. In any event, hype lingers about their entry — and their hunger to win Eurovision is already well-established.
And while Bulgaria has narrowed, the Czech Republic has narrowed more significantly, with Mikolas’ odds now as low as 7/1. He has leapt past Estonia, Finland, Australia and Belgium. He is now the highest-ranked act of those who have actually revealed their competing entry for Eurovision. Spain is down as seventh favourite, followed by Italy in 11th and France in 12th.
Eurovision 2018: Odds to win (28 February at 19:20 GMT)
A number of the acts currently near the top will choose their Eurovision songs this weekend.
Estonia, currently the third favourite with the bookies, will stage the final of Eesti Laul on Saturday. It’s thought that Elina and her operatic number “La Forza” have paved the way for the country’s high ranking with the bookies. Can she survive at home and make their predictions a reality?
Finland, who sits just behind Estonia as fourth favourite, will also choose its song that evening. Saara Aalto — who has turned heads with her provocative costume choices — will choose between a contemporary ballad called “Domino”, an off-kilter and upbeat number called “Queens” and fan front-runner “Monsters”.
Despite ongoing dismay over the quality of songs in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen, the country remains fifth favourite to win, owing, perhaps, to its record of success at Eurovision rather than its actual chances in 2018.
Switzerland, who chose the song “Stones” from the duo Zibbz, is currently in last position with the bet makers.
What do you think about the latest table? Do you think Czech Republic can challenge for the win? Let us know down below!
Stupid Bulgars Hahah!!!
So desperate to win…
Why not, Prague is lovely city, I would like to visit it again, haha 😀
If you want to know who will win, the logic is simple. I’ve noticed in the last years that many jurors and many televoters have became very snobs and they care about one single thing : the world to not make fun of ESC again. They are so afraid of world making fun of us (esc fans), that will probably the votes will go to France, even though nobody will listen that song the next day.
Anything that looks remotely like a scoreboard is inevitably going to get a lot of the Eurovision nerds riled up.
Thanks for that explanation 🙂
ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Of course, neither Bulgaria nor the Czech Republic will win.
ende.
I feel a mix of Timberlake and Beiber Justins in this song. It doesn’t arouse my interest and I can’t see it even in top 10. But hop music lovers will go for it. Spain as one of favourites ? It must be a joke.
*Justins from Czechia
I read the lyrics to this year’s Czech entry and is a no-brains song. So, how can it be ahead of not yet release Bulgarian entry? As of right now, the Spanish entry “Tu Canción” is perhaps the only song that could get my douze points in the Grand Final. The entries from Switzerland, the United Kingdom and France can pass as second best to none.
Switzerland is last place? Based on their track record, it is understandable, but I think Stones is a great song.
On what basis is Bulgaria frontrunner? They don’t have a very good track record. Yes they had entries that did well last two years but isn’t odds about constantly doing well and being in top 10? Having two entries that did well isn’t a reason to make it a frontrunner
Because they are using the same format as last year and have stated, and have made it clear that from the beginning they wanted a professional artist already on a record label and requested information on staging right from the beginning. Of course without the song/artist it’s hard to tell but the country has made it clear they want to win, so the bookmakers are keeping the odds low, just in case. They are not going to offer long odds on a country that is really keen on winning and using the same format that got them a 2nd, as… Read more »
The betting odds also indicate that Portugal is 28th to win and the UK is 29th win….. obviously people forgot that are already qualifiers
Right but in the odds to win, no one is ranking all the songs in order ,so it doesn’t mean anyone thinks UK will come 29th. It’s automated based on how many bets each country has received,no one has forgotten who is a finalist.
You can already see some trends in the odds, of what the qualifyers will be and what the scoreboard can indeed look like. But for the top marks it is too early to predict and even more so the winner. Don’t forget that last year Italy was leading the odds for months, going out of nr 1 only when the reharsals started, if I am not mistaken. Also we can expect sudden risers such as Belgium, once the song is out.
Just some facts from 2017 to illustrate my pont:
Greece: On 5 March was on 3rd place in the odds and it ended up 24th on the odds.
Belgium: On 6 March it was on 35th place, on the 8th March jumped on 2nd and ended up on 4th.
Portugal: On 5th March (final of the FdC) it was on 27th, next day it jumped on 8th; 19th March on 5th and ended up on 2nd during the actual show, having been on 1st two days before.
But in all of your examples the Songs weren’t released yet…. Czech Republic was around 40th place before Mikolas was announced as the winner and then it jumped to the top 10. It’s the same pattern as the one on your list, so your argument arguments against you, not for you…
No no. I am not sure about Greece, but for Portugal and Belgium the big jumps occurred precisely one day after the release, in case of Belgium and the victory of Salvador in Portugal.
I know what you meant, don’t worry! But it’s exactly the same thing with Czech Republic…. He got to the top 10 right after he won. Exactly how it went with Belgium or Portugal. I’m not sure what you’re trying to explain to me….
You are right. Comparing last year Greece with Czech Rep is not correct, because Greece started falling down when the song became known and the opposite happened with CZ. But it can be similar to Bulgaria, though, which is in nr.1. Greece was in top 3, because there was quite a lot of hype about the Demi. The fact that Bulgaria is now in nr 1 doesn’t mean that is going to stay there. I guess what I am saying, it is too soon to make any conclusions, just yet 😛
Polegend Godgarina u try to sound like that one guy who knows something that noone else does , talking about demos that only you have heard , better just sit down and be quiet ,i can smell from 10000 miles that your a russian and only they try to spread their propaganda with fake news for all kind of stuff. At least try to change your account wen you talk stupid stuff like that. Hope Russia will get ban not only from olympics , but from everything.
Actually, he’s Italian. Nice try though.
get your russophobe face outta here, thanks
Its you who should be banned
Go watch CNN
Can someone explain to me why Ukraine is so low? Are all the bookies angry Tayanna fans? I know his enunciation isn’t very clear, but that can be fixed. It’s an upbeat song that should stand out from all the more serious songs, we know Ukraine can stage the hell out of just about anything, and they have a fantastic track record (if we pretend last year didn’t happen). So I just don’t understand why it’s so low?
Well apparently not as many people bet on Ukraine – bookies don’t make their odds up out on the whim.
Because almost no one believes that EBU will allow Ukraine to win in the next few years. It is a table with chances of winning, not betting on what place the country will end up in the final.
yep thats why. I believe Melovin can be top 5. Winning is pretty unlikely
Ofc ^^ It’s my favourite and Im crazy about it. Listen and listen everyday
At the moment I think anything can happen. This year the entries are very diverse and this could lead to a very exciting competition – and the performance at the final will tip the scale, imho.
If a Talk Dirty rip off wins the contest, people in Europe should be ashamed of themselves for looking down on American pop music for such a long time.
What are you talking about. Europeans don’t look down at the American music industry. It’s music sells massively in Europe and is loved. Both it and the UK are the most appreciated music markets in Europe. Your comment makes no sense. Go Czech Republic, great song
Yeah right. Look at all those eurovision fans who have kept saying they hate American pop songs in the contest, even the pop songs from Sweden. If this song or other pop song, like Lady Gaga inspired type of song, “Monster” does win in May, I’m gonna laugh at those Europeans who have kept bashing American pop songs. Your tastes change evey goddam year!
You’re reading the opinions of a lot of different fans – there is consistency year to year, but lots of diversity among all the fans. You can find a lover and a hater for every single genre and song year to year. Chill out.
Greetings to Czech Republic from Armenia. Actually I liked the song from the very beginning. I will cheer up for him. A young guy with a good song, energetic and from a very lovely country. I see no reason for people (especially teenage girls) not to pick up the phone and vote for him. Go, Mikolas!
Czech republic deserves it. Strong favorite.
I don’t want my country (Spain) to go higher in the odds. Just stay where we are after the revamping. If for some reason we go a bit higher, the hating + the countercharge from my fellow rabid spaniards will be unbearable (also laughable)
Don’t want to live this traumatic experience. LOL.
Prague would be amazing, but it’s not a winner song. At this point his is Top 10.
He*
How is Denmark not in top 5? Wow.
I’m with you. It’s a simple stunner with great imagery, definitely one of the best so far.
Is crazy nobody is talking about how Croatia have shortened up in the odds since the release of the snippet of “Crazy”! Franka and Croatia are currently at #19, for the first time in the Top 20 and surpassing other fan-favorites such as Denmark, Ukraine and Armenia.
Croatia could be the bop many people are waiting! Zagreb 2019, anyone? LOL
Spain was 9th and now back to 7th. Ugh…
San Marino, Israel , Germany and Slovenia have shortened too and Armenia , Ukraine have fallen.
If Sara De Blue won the Sammarinese national final, San Marino’s odds will probably go up.
Hungary is very underrated!
Hungary has the worst song in the contest.
haha come on mark..
No way. Hungary for the win!
Sweden on the top of the lists!!! With those songs???? I doubt that they will get a top 10 this year
Czech Republic wont win Eurovision lol cant understand the bookmakers..
Usually bookmakers do that at the beginning to get a lot of money. It can’t be possible from the respond that he has. You see France 12th and Armenia 9th!!! Even Greece 14th and it is the ethnic song that maded to be performed on tv!
(For Ari and others in the conversation we had earlier:)
So in Mikolas Josef’s song there are the lyrics “now sit down GGY I’m on fire.” I have just been told that GGY = Go Google Yourself. Or is it? I’m still not convinced. It’s still a mystery until it’s properly solved. 🙂
I think he’s trying to sound like the I-G-G-Y line from Fancy (like how he mentions Drop It Like It’s Hot).
That would be a little lukewarm indeed. Someone should investigate properly. ?
The question mark was not supposed to be there. It was an emoticon. 😉
Czech Republic wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but hey, the past 2 Eurovision winners weren’t my cup of tea so there you go. In saying that though, Czech Republic are sending their strongest ever entry this year (despite what I think of the song, it’s better than what they usually send) and I think they are guaranteed to get their highest ever score at Eurovision. Will it win? I don’t think so, it’s very early days and the song is just too try hard. BUT just like Portugal last year, (Who I wasn’t a fan of) Czech Republic is… Read more »
The way this is going so far, I definitely can see Mikolas finishing in the Top 5. That would be so awesome for the Czech Republic and I think that would convince Slovakia to come back for next year.
On the odds, I think Russia, Sweden, Portugal, Austria, Norway, and Georgia are rated too high, especially Portugal.
I think Ukraine and Armenia are rated too low.
Yawn.
Russia, Sweden and Norway are always like “referents” regarding ESC, that’s why they’re so up in the odds. We still don’t know what Austria and Portugal might bring , plus they’re not really that up (28-32). Georgia should be lower, it’s probably one of the least likely songs to win or even make to the final.
Regarding Ukraine, Melovin was on the Top 20 in the odds a few days ago, however he had been going down for quite a while now (currently at #23).
Agreed, my reasoning with Sweden and Norway is only due to so many people complaining about their selections this year lol. As for Russia, I think it is possible that voters and juries will give this the “Aina mun pitaa” treatment and it may do rather poorly.
Interesting observation with Ukraine, especially since they have a good track record in the contest!
there is nothing to check so far
The odds, at this point, are quite unreliable… Bulgaria (no information about the song) is at first…. I can understand Estonia or Sweden or even Russia. But Bulgaria? I don’t believe Mikolas will win. We are talking about the Czech Republic. They never get points in the televote. But i do believe he will do well this year. Maybe even a top10. I am curious about what will the jury do with this song? As for me, i just can’t stand it. It really gets on my nerves and after 10 seconds into it i already want to cut my… Read more »
Over dramatic
Nobody is calling for Czech Republic to win, we all know that’s a very small chance. However, a very good result for Czech Republic is very possible since Mikolas’ song is one of the best. Plus, Czech Republic has always been an underrated country at Eurovision.
Of course the jury will not give points. It’s obvious.
The odds are so unreliable as of now…if you think about last year Gabbani till the very end was a strong favorite but missed out or entries such as Portugal and Moldova werent among the top of the betting odds till the last week but then took it all
Yeah, there’s no way he’s ending up that high imo. I find his song very whack and his stage presence very tryhard. Bulgaria’s first place is even more ridiculous considering what they’re supposed to send.
And still you can’t talk about what Bulgaria are sending? Just checking.
Till it’s actually released I guess. Or whatever is written in their NDA.
I don’t want to get anyone into trouble, just ask around and you might find the demo, it’s not a well-kept secret anyway.
Just because you hate it doesn’t mean there’s no way he can end up that high! For example Australia 2016 was absolutely not my Cup of tea, I thought it was super annoying, but I knew it would do well… Just try to judge the chances of doing well apart from your own opinion.
You thought Italy was going to win and that Portugal and Bulgaria had no chances of doing well. Polegend, you have zero reliability. So you hating a song is actually a good sign, because that means it will do well?
Having Serbia this year among the faves, doesn”t add credibility to the taste she/he has. Hahab
Who didn’t think Italy was going to win last year? It had record-low odds and record-high points from OGAE. Thinking Francesco would win was more than reasonable, of course once we saw Salvador perform in the semi things changed.
Having the UK as a Top 3 contended isn’t either. Plus, many people got sick of Italy by the time of the contest. However, I really thought Italy would be the televote winner, it was such a shock that Francesco only came 6th on televote.
It’s the first and only one time that portugal wins and this poor portuguese racist girl without brain give lessons to others countries lol it’s so ridiculous.
I’m really trying hard to find things to be grateful for this year. Hmmm…
France
Denmark
Ukraine
Saara alto
Anyone else got any ideas?
Just wait for Azerbaijan, Croatia and Cyprus. Just like in 2016, the best songs will come out at the end I hope.
Croatia’s odds have reduced a lot since Franka released the snippet. They’re now in the Top 20 (19 at the moment). Croatia could be the bop some people are waiting for.
UKRAINE??? His pronunciation is terrible
Moldova wasn’t a cover of a hit from three years prior, and it had a good performance. Let’s see if this wannabe manages to make something non-cringeworthy out of it.
I’m glad that Czech Republic has stepped up their game. I do believe they will have their best result ever, they deserve it.
I’m not sure about Bulgaria, my bulgarian friend is not so confident about their selection. Don’t ask me for details, wait until the song is revealed.
For my country I’m not gonna hype too much, though I’m 99% sure we’ll hear La Forza in Lisbon.
I imagine that in couple of weeks the odds will be quite different, still a bit early to predict the winner.
You guys could honestly win with La Forza.
aw thank you 🙂
I can’t find a single entry I love this year that I haven’t also seen a metric ton of hate for so imma give up apologizing for enjoying Spain and the Czech Republic and just enjoy them. And if Mikolas wins? All the better.
Yeah, Czech Republic is my 1st and Spain is like my 6th or 7th and I love both. Everybody’s got opinions and if These opinions are strongly polarizing it can’t be that bad right? Remember Portugal last year, the community was split!
I also enjoy(ed) both, although Spain is losing its appeal for me. As of know, I predict a SunStroke Project- like result for Mikolas Josef.
* as of now
If Czech Republic matches Moldova’s best result and finds itself in the top 5, hooooooly crap. I wish this sudden ascension into Eurovision godhood happened to them and not Bulgaria sometimes (who, I should say, have sent very good entries the last two years, but neither of which I thought should’ve been such serious contenders for the prize).
I can’t find a single entry I love ever that I haven’t also seen a metric ton of hate. That’s just the nature of the beast.
Amen to that.
I really hope the Czech Republic will come high next May, Mikolas deserves it so much ! Plus he had revamped the song to remove the swearing…
Not suprised, compared to the 7/8 of songs that we already know Mikolas sounds basically like Loreen. So far he’s my third favourite, and seeing how it’s hard to impress me, this is a good sign.
Bulgaria is so high only because their last year’s performance, and if to believe some Italian commenter who’s worshipping a lady with a similar name to mine, they want to send a mess not as beautiful as the last year’s one.
Sounds like loreen !!! Lol have you drunk ???
He/She said ”compared” to the other’s in Terms of Quality…
Exactly.
Quality can be seriously discuss about josef’s entry…..Loreen no…. sorry but many other acts this year deserves better than him.
Greece France Germany for example
> Aren’t you busy getting raped by a negro?
Interesting sexual fantasies that you have!
Why do you have to be so disrespectful? Are you trying to compensate something with your dumb obnoxious comments…?
Wowowowow firstly I’m not french secondly stop to talk with me I don’t like racist people
I don’t think you got the Point bro…
Not Greece. I really don’t see the hype for that entry. I really have a hope that France could win ESC, but it’s a long shot.
Girl what are you on tonight? Euphoria wasn’t a reductive cover of a hit from three years prior.
Again: In COMPARISM. Nobody said it was as good as Euphoria, it’s about the song in comparism to the ”bad” (at least that’s her opinion) other Songs that are out there.
I guess I shoulda compared it to a song that’s not a sacred cow like “Euphoria”, ‘cause it triggers some people…
(also something ate my reply to Polegend, Wiwibloggs please fix your website…)
I’m gonna tell you a secret: I didn’t want Loreen to win. What a sinner I am…
USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST
It’s certainly not a sacred cow it was not my winner too, it doesn’t prevent me to be fair.
I’m not a Loreen stan and y’all know that but Euphoria was objectively a solid and deserved winner. And the geepee agreed, it even went Gold here in Italy where no one cares about the Eurovision.
Same in Poland, it was overplayed as hell, and Poland cared at this time about Eurovision so much they didn’t participate in the year where Loreen won…
Tho tbf maybe Poland isn’t a best example, as Sweden is close to us and we swallow everything Sweden churns. E.g. “I Can’t Go On” was also a big hit…
Oh no, the only foreign Eurovision songs to ever make it to the Italian airwaves are Euphoria, La La Love and Rise Like a Phoenix. Even Heroes was completely paid dust here.
In Poland nobody played “La La Love” nor “Rise Like a Phoenix”. But Måns had like, three successful singles here since his comeback in 2015.
Odds change all the time.
I want to mention there are countries behind Czech Republic for which we don’t know the song yet (ex. Belgium, Australia and Azerbaijan). When all the songs are released, many things can change.
BTW, “Lie to me” is one of my favourites. Great song!
Prague 2019 with this song !!! No way !! Juries won’t let this win, because of the lyrics and the meaning of the song and because it’s simply not a winner song, this can’t be representative of Europe because of this the entire world will laugh at us again….. No thank you to czech to have selectioned this…..all the people who are betting in this will loose their money….maybe it’s mikolas who bet on him to make him climb and thanks that people talk about him and consider him as a favourite….lol good plan but pathetic if it’s real
Lol, you are weird :DDD
This must be a nightmare.
Gabriela Guncikova clearly deserved more than null point from 2016 televote, that’s still a shame she’s Czechia only final-qualifier (and that she finished 25th)… and, so, here comes “this”.
I apologize but clearly don’t get the hype for this weird and even not contemporary entry. I would have liked, by the way, a better song to encourage Slovakian neighbours to come back, due to the quality of their entries at the beginning of the 2010s… without even getting into the final.
Lie to me is far better that I stand + Mikolas has written and produced the song but Gabriela’s song was written by a Swedes.. If you are not fan of this type of music, then it’s your problem, not Mikolas’s problem 😉
than*
Bulgaria make the same comedy each year, waiting the date line just to create an hype, they think they are better than the others, the most pretentious country in esc is BULGARIA but the worst fans are from Italy and Spain.
Worst fans? Hope do you mean crazy
You realize they chose their song in January and revamped it later lmao?
cry certainly not but laugh at your stupity yes, stop the drugs
Oh, I have to tell you that this is the wrong place for you then…. The Eurovision bubble only consists of LGTB People and those who Support LGBT People. In fact, this blog is owned by a gay man, so get the fck out! 🙂
Italy doesn’t give a dang about ESC.
This is where we need EugeneESCUK to come in and teach us how betting odds work, again. 🙂
Don’t the odds on a song lower when more bets have been put on it?
Exactly, that’s why Czechia is 2nd place. The lower the Odds, the higher the place sand the ”chances to win”. Done.
Glad it’s as simple as it appears.
It makes me scrihm how people are wasting their money on Bulgaria without having heard their song.
It’s called wasting money, period. There’s no reason why Bulgaria would have high chances to win just because they had two good years.
The only decision the bookmakers make about odds is the setting point. Now every time a big bet is put on a song the odds for it winning will lower while that of other countries will rise.
Wait for Belgium!
I think Belarus wili be better then Czech Republic.
Last year Moldova taken so many points from Italy (favorite to win ) and I think Alekseev will took so many points from favorite Josef.
What are you even talking about…?
This guy is Completely deaf and out with this weird predictions….
Nobody thought Moldova could do it, remember OGAE poll, Moldova had 0 points. But I really don’t see Alekseev making a “Hey Mamma” success.
I didn’t t wrote that Belarus Wii be finish likeoldova.Italy would did better maybe in Top 3, if we didn’t had song from Moldova
Oldova steel so many points last year from Italy
Nobody thought Moldova could do it, remember OGAE poll, Moldova had 0 points. It was very underrated, but it was one of the best performances of the night. However I really don’t see Alekseev making a “Hey Mamma” success.
Bulgaria waiting last minute to find song for win , when they heard other 42 songs from other countries.
I think at this moment Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland,Spain be out of TOP 5 some even from TOP 10 in eurovision final (Spain for me is contender for 16 to 21 place in final not for TOP 10).
Australia and Sweden will be in TOP 10., maybe even in TOP 5 , thanks to overrated points by juries
I think Italy and Frace is also overrated in betting odds
Serbia, Moldova and Romania is so underrated in odds.
And your brain he is overrated too ?
If they were overrated, they’ll be Top 5. They’re barely scratching Top 10, unfortunately. The ones that are overrated are Finland, Sweden, Russia and maybe Australia. About the underrated, I really don’t believe Switzerland is the least possible song to win, that spot could go to Montenegro or Lithuania. Also, Albania is very low in the odds, despite very positive fan-welcoming.
Stop drinking wine.
You’re being too kind with Spain. Don’t lull us trying to make us think Spain is escaping another bottom 5. We’re in fact going for another bottom 5.
I wonder how long it’ll last – there are still plenty of songs to be picked/revealed, but congratulations to Mikolas! I hope it means he’ll not only qualify, but also get’s at least into top 10…or top 5. Too early to talk about winning though.
If the Czech Republic wins, maybe Slovakia will finally return to the contest.
Slovakia would be amazing, they’re very close with Czech Republic so if Mikolas does well, there’s a chance Slovakia might come back. Also, don’t forget that Liechtenstein is aiming to be an EBU member and to debut in 2019. It will be amazing to have them in ESC:
I do think Slovakia will come back soon.
It is very important for us (CZE) to do very well and have a big succes… When Gabriela got 0 points in televoting, the newspaper and websites wrote only: Gabriela got 0 points! And she became second from the bottom.. And then Czechs are not interested in ESC, bcs they dont see succes, that we were in the final for the first time. We really need to finish very well, we need newspaper to write positive news! Then maybe will Eurovision become more famous here in the Czech republic and maybe Slovakia will see that and take a part in… Read more »
By the way, I will be very disappointed if Bulgaria just sends Kostov again after all that fuss and secrecy.
Why disappointed?
Because they’d just be repeating last year. You really don’t need to keep everyone in suspense with little riddles until the last minute when you’re going to do nothing different. Maybe it’s Kostov and Genova together?
Oh. No this would be really weird, they wouldn’t fit. Especially because of their age gap.
I mean, for me, the most relevant question always is: “Is it a good song?” And while it was undeniably successful at the contest, “Beautiful Mess” left me stone cold.
I don’t usually like These Kind of songs either and in the beginning I was like ”Yeah…Alright song, could be in my top 10.” but after a couple of days and weeks I started to love this song, I don’t even no why… It’s actually just a very well produced ballad with an amazing Instrumentation, but it moved something inside me that I can’t explain. Poli Genova however was a Little ”Meh” to me. I felt like I should love it but I just didn’t… Sometimes our heart works in mysterious ways.
> because of their age gap
Yeah, it would be kinda weird to see 31-year old woman performing with a 12-year old kid.
So, you dislike the anti-climax that it would bring. (That sounds naughty, but it’s not intended to be.) I think the team in Bulgaria have played their “A-game” for the past couple of years, but are still learning how to do it. I have no idea what is going to happen with the artist. But if it were Kris Kostov again it would have to be a stronger song than “Beautiful Mess” was, which is a challenge. Likewise with Poli Genova, the song would have to be stronger than “If love was a crime” (a.k.a. the Limey looter song); again,… Read more »
Wasn’t there this riddle of possible artists posted at wiwibloggs some time ago with a couple of previous Eurovision winners? Was there any other Bulgarian in the mix, besides Kostov and Genova? I feel like it kind of has to be one of them, so there most definitely won’t be a HUGE surprise, eh?
Same opinion here. Although I also dream of a Conchita Wurst comeback. 🙂
Damn, just when I was about to like our exchange of comments. 😛 As an Austrian living in Vienna, I dream of this hype to never ever come to life.
Sorry, I didn’t know about that issue with Conchita! My bad.
No worries. I have always been in the minority disliking the Austrian winner. I had lots of appreciation for Ilse and Waylon though. 😀
