THE ISRAEL TOUR

Initiated and produced by Tali Eshkoli, the event is growing year on year. It is staged in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage, the Ministry of Tourism, KKL, Herzliya Municipality and Tel Aviv Municipality – the host city.

As in previous years, the event will run for four days, during which the artists will get to know Israel: Touring the holy places of Jerusalem as well as the old and new parts of the city, where they will be welcomed by the Minister of Jerusalem and Heritage, Mr. Ze’ev Elkin, in an event featuring previous representatives of Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest. The red-carpet event will be held in the Marina of Herzliya together with the ambassadors of the participating countries, representatives of the government’s offices and VIPs. So far, more than 25 countries have confirmed their attendance to the event, and the number goes up every day.

“Once again the State of Israel opens its gates and welcomes dozens of leading artists and main journalists and TV crews from European media with a big hug for an extraordinary Israeli experience.” Tali said in a statement sent to wiwibloggs. “The Eurovision community all over Europe follows the event in order to see the artists perform in front of the loving Israel crowd. I am happy that we have such a wonderful opportunity to show the beauty of Israel to the artists and to celebrate Eurovision together that will promote each and every one of the artists in front of potential Israeli voters. Welcome to Israel!”

If you’re a resident of Tel Aviv you can just go to city hall a few days before the show and pick up a free ticket. If not, you can ask someone who lives in Tel Aviv to get one for you, or just show up at the event without a ticket – you’ll have to wait until after all the ticket holders get in, but then they’ll probably let you in (based on my experience in the previous events).

Thanks Israel. I’d want to visit but hey, considering that i’m 19 and that the process of getting the passport can last up to 10 days, i’m easily cut off. No chance for me but good luck!!

You should note that it is the competition submission deadline that is set for March 13th.
The event itself is a month from now and takes place starting April 08th, so you have more than 10 day to issue a passport.
