It’s a relationship that only went public two months ago. But as of today, Lust in Rio and Euroclub 2018 are officially parting ways.
The news broke following the annual Head of Delegation Meeting.
Details for the split remain sparse.
The official EBU press release simply says that “The venue for Euroclub has changed from the previously announced location and is now in the city centre, right next to Eurovillage”.
Portuguese TV sheds some more light. During the live broadcast of the TV special Two Months to Eurovision, it was confirmed that the Ministerium Club will be Euroclub’s new home.
As previously announced, only accredited fans, press, and delegations will have access to the club. It will operate throughout Eurovision fortnight.
Eurovision Village and Euroclub 2018 in Lisbon
Back in August, RTP revealed that Praça do Comércio — that’s Commerce Square — will play host to Eurovision Village 2018. As of today, Euroclub will also be in this area.
Shortly before the August announcement, wiwiblogger William travelled to Lisbon to explore the square first-hand amid the growing (and it’s now clear accurate) speculation it would be used.
In the video below he strolls up Rua Augusta, climb the Rua Augusta Arch and then takes a turn in the stunning 18th century square to get a feel for what may unfold at Eurovision 2018 next May.
Eurovision Village 2018 in Lisbon: Vlog preview
Eurovision Village, a key gathering point for fans during the Eurovision Song Contest, hosts live performances from Eurovision artists throughout the Eurovision fortnight.
It’s a great place for people to soak in the atmosphere of the event, regardless of whether they have tickets to the actual competition. It’s also a great way to mix with locals.

Nuno Galopim said that we should wait for official info about how the Euroclub will work… he suggested that what people are saying about “accredited fans only” may not entirely be true.
Is there any information if we can also buy entry passes for Euroclub like in Stockholm or Kiev?
lOL william is adorable
the singers have been doing the postcards.
“Accredited” fans? So if a casual fan decides to randomly attend the club with a friend or two, they can’t enter?
HIW CAN I SUSCRIBE TO OGAE REST OD THE WORLD?
Will there be a Eurofan Cafe similar to the one which operated in Copenhagen, Vienna and others?
So do u know can we (ogae fans) buy ticket to club? Like last years?
I have the same question, Coco.
This might be a stupid question, but what exactly are accredited fans?
