She recently revamped her Eurovision 2018 song “X My Heart”, adding booming electro production that takes us from easy-listening drive time to the dance floor.

And on Monday evening Aisel proved that she can also work the song in the opposite direction, delivering a stunning, stripped-back piano version during the MADWalk fashion and music show in Athens.

Aisel used the event to start her Eurovision promo tour. The beautiful singer supported Apostolos Mitropoulos, one of the most popular and alternative fashion designers in Greece — and one who has dressed celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Debi Mazar and Paris Hilton.

The show started with Aisel playing a piano version of her song, at a piano painted with words connected to the show.

At the backstage of the show, the singer had the change to also meet Greek representative Yianna Terzi.

MADWalk is a wildly popular event that combines fashion with music. As various singers perform, designers present their collections.

In 2015 Maria-Elena Kyriakou performed, and in 2016 Sergey Lazarev had the honour – performing ‘You Are the Only One’ atop a giant plinth.

What do you think of the acoustic version of “X My Heart”? Should Aisel take this style to Lisbon? Share your thoughts below!

If you look on Youtube, there is a recording of her playing and singing it live during rehearsal, and she sounds great.

Come on wiwibloggs stop being so biased again Greece. Gianna Terzi participated in that event and no article about it. On the other hand you present her as a common eurofan standing by Aisel…Get serious for god shake!!!

The piano intro with the first verse sounded great. Then it is juxtaposed with the uptempo chorus. This song will be memorable live. Not enough to win ESC, but enough for me to want to hear it some more.

There was no live singing on that show. All the singers performed with playback.

I like this song, its not my favourite since I am not into this style of music, but its one of the best pop songs of the year. Miles better than Sweden or Norway.

Very nice performance. I am sure that her stage presentation at ESC will be spectacular and she will manage to bring Azerbaijan back in top 10.

Everyone always is playback at mad events. They can’t support live singing for so many artists so they prefer to be safe since this is not a competition.
