Benjamin Ingrosso Sweden Eurovision 2018 postcard

There’s no rest for the wicked… or for Eurovision contestants! Sweden’s 2018 entrant and “Dance You Off” singer Benjamin Ingrosso had a busy week of filming last week.

Right after Amsterdam’s Eurovision in Concert, he jetted off to Portugal to shoot his postcard. He then flew back to Stockholm to record a revamped music video for his entry.

SAY CHEESE: Sweden’s Benjamin Ingrosso films his Eurovision 2018 postcard

The half Swedish and half Italian singer travelled to the little town of Covilhã, in the inner mountainous region of Portugal to shoot his postcard.

Benjamin is never shy when it comes to sharing his love for food. So, it’s no surprise that his postcard involves him making food, specifically the regional “Quinta do tapado” cheese. But viewers will have to wait and see if getting the milk fresh was part of his cheese making experience.

“Dance You Off” Reboot

Right after the postcard shoot, Benjamin jetted back to Stockholm to film a revamped music video for his platinum hit, “Dance You Off”.

The original retro-tastic video boasts over two million views on YouTube. However, the clip was made well before Melodifestivalen 2018 began. His stage performance at the contest wowed viewers and looked more like a music video than the one shot before.

Famed Swedish music video director Fredrik Boklund is at the helm of the new project. He has directed music videos for Alcazar, Mark Wahlberg, and the video for “Always” by AySel and Arash (Azerbaijan 2009). He’s also done commercials for Pepsi and Panasonic in the Asian markets.

The director was joined by Zain Odelstål and Dennis Brochner who were behind the choreography and staging for Benjamin’s Melfest live performance.

It looks like there are some big plans for Benjamin regardless of his placing at Eurovision next month.

Is another Ingrosso set for global domination? Did you like the original music video? Or do you prefer the Melfest stage production? Let us know in the comments section below.

Sweden is sending a top song to ESC again! Will be great seeing Benjamin on stage. He will be Top 3 without any doubt.

I doubt that very much. Sweden is lucky if it gets in top 10. But obviously they will make it top 10 because the juries are so influenced by corporate music industry and Sweden get all the good points from their neighbors. If they make it top 5 that will completely undeserving.

It Will easily reach top 10 by both jury and televoters because it deserves it. It will even reach top 5. 5th or 4th.

Benjamin, Covilhã is not a village (just checked with google)… It has almost 50’000 inhabitants 🙂 …it even has a university. I know, so much nature is disturbing 🙂

Ok John, but if you call a place with 50’000 people a village, what should say Croatia: their postcard was filmed in a 10 (!!!) inhabitants place. 😉

(I guess Benjamin was referring to Boidobra, that “belongs” to Covilhã when he wrote he was in a village).

In an interview during Eurovision in consert Benjamin said that he didn’t know if the video would be reade before ESC, so yes, there are plans after ESC.

It was not an interview by wiwi. As you know, Wiliam don’t like Benjamin, so althogh Benjamin was at 6th place in odds, he didn’t took the time.

Actually, it seems like William likes Benjamin’s personality, he just doesn’t like the song, but he has nothing against Benjamin, as far as I’ve seen in some reviews of Swedish entry.

Well, you talk about billbord. That is maby lite to early, but there are a bigger arena in the US for his kind of music. They play some of his songs in LA but the same songs are not at all played here in Sweden.

Benjamin is signed to same music label-TEN Music as Zara Larsson, Swedish pop singer, and she is successful in US, and in whole world, in the past two years. Maybe Benjamin is the next, why not, he has the star quality!

LOL Excuse me, but Zara Larson is a disposable and self-righteous brat with an IQ lower than an ape.

Cannot is not correct either. In fact it is less correct than Can not. But the correct use of it is Can’t.

Both cannot and can not are acceptable spellings, but the first is much more usual. You would use can not when the ‘not’ forms part of another construction such as ‘not only’. Source: Oxford Dictionaries
