Mikolas Josef Injury

Mikolas Josef has released a statement regarding his current health condition following his first semi final fall. And hallelujah — he can walk!

After several days of keeping us in suspense, and three hospital stays later, Mikolas has said he is feeling a lot better. He was able to walk yesterday, and is awaiting the results of CT scans to ensure that there is no damage to his spine.

Mikolas was taken to hospital shortly after his first rehearsal, with fears that he injured his back during his high level acrobatics. Bringing his signature sass and wood bamboo to the big stage in Lisbon, he impressed with a diverse performance, and there were no telltale signs of injury during the performance. He did, however, stop his first rehearsal due to what he perceived as a potential health and safety issue on the stage.

In the press conference, Mikolas’ team stated that Mikolas aggravated his back due to the high acrobatic nature of his performance. No doubt his performance brought the house down, but it looks as if it may have come at a cost to his health.

Mikolas remains in good spirits despite his injury. We wish him all the best in his recovery.

Fake injury? What rot, ultimately it’s the medics who make the decusion to hospitalise and given the nature of his acrobatics it was the decision that they would have made whether he was in the contest or not. I really wsh the moderators of this website would moderate and delete these vicious comments and I have written this before on this blogg.

Good luck to him, because I don’t think he’s qualifying anyway

Please, wiwibloggs, do something about the disgusting comments in this article. After Salvador we have again hate being spewed at someone for a health issue, which is one of the worst kinds of bullying imo.

I see wiwibloggs changed to hatebloggs. Of course…almost everyone of big fans of eurovision wisches to win of his own country and throws dirty to others. You’re poor.

They should sit him on a throne like Dave Grohl’s or a chaise lounge for the performance.

I don’t like his song at all whatsoever, but I’m glad he is okay

I really hope that they will put him in the second semifinal. He could at least prevent one of those weak songs qualifying from second semi, I can barely find 5 deserving qualifiers there. On the contrary first semifinal is like a grand final itself, so Czech Republic being in second semi could be a good chance for another good entry qualifying from first semi.

Sounds like an awesome idea! The distribution is currently 19-18, so making it 18-19 doesn’t really make anything unbalanced. He needs as much time as he can get before performing full-on. On the second round of rehearsals though, he can be instructed safer choreography while he does just the blocking.

They won’t do that. Somebody will complain about the decision. If he needs more time to recover, they will put him in the final, creating a 27th slot. However, I don’t think that will happen, he probably will perform in the first semifinal anyway.

It would be nice if the EBU put Czech Republic into Semi 2. It would allow Mikolas ample time to recover and allow the delegation time to work on a new, less staining performance for him.
It would also even out the semis a bit more and probably actually strengthen his qualification hopes. He would qualify from both semis I think but stil. It would make more sense.
But the show must go on I guess.

So because the Czech Republic choose to include a risky element in their performance, one country in semi 2 has to suffer, even though the semi draw was done months ago? And why should the quality of the songs be an argument? It never was until now.

It will not be fair to countries from II semi final . HI will took place in final, from other countries from second semi and we also have EBU baby in second semi Australia.

Do you think it is better if a Azeri, armenian, turkish, russian person was the chairman of EBU then? They have all had big problems with vote rigging, buying jury votes, jury fairness and quit because they dont like the rules. i hope that day come and then you will miss jan ola sand. He is the most fair man you can find.

Mikolas himself might be a little static now, but that doesn’t mean the two dancers that are with him will be static too.
