Mikolas Josef Injury

Mikolas Josef has released a statement regarding his current health condition following his first semi final fall. And hallelujah — he can walk!

After several days of keeping us in suspense, and three hospital stays later, Mikolas has said he is feeling a lot better. He was able to walk yesterday, and is awaiting the results of CT scans to ensure that there is no damage to his spine.

Mikolas was taken to hospital shortly after his first rehearsal, with fears that he injured his back during his high level acrobatics. Bringing his signature sass and wood bamboo to the big stage in Lisbon, he impressed with a diverse performance, and there were no telltale signs of injury during the performance. He did, however, stop his first rehearsal due to what he perceived as a potential health and safety issue on the stage.

In the press conference, Mikolas’ team stated that Mikolas aggravated his back due to the high acrobatic nature of his performance. No doubt his performance brought the house down, but it looks as if it may have come at a cost to his health.

Mikolas remains in good spirits despite his injury. We wish him all the best in his recovery.

[…] Having only appeared in the Grand Final once, back in 2016, Lie to Me is a fun foot tapper. While Mikolas has made headlines due to a back injury suffered due to a fall in rehearsals, the 22 year certainly has a bright […]

Fake injury? What rot, ultimately it’s the medics who make the decusion to hospitalise and given the nature of his acrobatics it was the decision that they would have made whether he was in the contest or not. I really wsh the moderators of this website would moderate and delete these vicious comments and I have written this before on this blogg.

Good luck to him, because I don’t think he’s qualifying anyway

Please, wiwibloggs, do something about the disgusting comments in this article. After Salvador we have again hate being spewed at someone for a health issue, which is one of the worst kinds of bullying imo.

Vermont

He doesn’t have a health issue. He suffers from a fake injury, you miserable fool!

Jonvi, Donve, i assume you are again this stupid troll who is again on the wiwibloggs throwing hatery on the favorites. We know its you with different accounts and we know that you are pathetic. Leave now

I see wiwibloggs changed to hatebloggs. Of course…almost everyone of big fans of eurovision wisches to win of his own country and throws dirty to others. You’re poor.

Yeah, make sure to keep us updated 24/7 about this fake Czech PR crap! They invented this fictional “injury” to escape the dangerous first semi from which the Czech loser has no chance in HELL to qualify!

Weißbrot

Could you troll stop posting your stupid hate comments again and again under different e-mails? It’s painfully obvious.

Darren
Guest

I think it was fairly obvious that Czech Republic was going to qualify anyway, regardless if this was a PR stunt or not – which I honestly don’t think it is. I really dont think it’s fictional. However I do think Czech Republic should be moved to semi 2 though as a precaution. For health and creativity reasons.

Jonas

Plus that would mean one more open slot for Ireland to maybe get though! 🙂

Anna

I think that this is the same person posting the same thing from different accounts.

Hada

They should sit him on a throne like Dave Grohl’s or a chaise lounge for the performance.

I don’t like his song at all whatsoever, but I’m glad he is okay

YourMan

I really hope that they will put him in the second semifinal. He could at least prevent one of those weak songs qualifying from second semi, I can barely find 5 deserving qualifiers there. On the contrary first semifinal is like a grand final itself, so Czech Republic being in second semi could be a good chance for another good entry qualifying from first semi.

Sounds like an awesome idea! The distribution is currently 19-18, so making it 18-19 doesn’t really make anything unbalanced. He needs as much time as he can get before performing full-on. On the second round of rehearsals though, he can be instructed safer choreography while he does just the blocking.

Jo.
Guest

They won’t do that. Somebody will complain about the decision. If he needs more time to recover, they will put him in the final, creating a 27th slot. However, I don’t think that will happen, he probably will perform in the first semifinal anyway.

Donve
Guest

So, he will be drawn to the second semi where there’s literally no competition? Great move! He stood no chance on the APOCALYPTIC FIRST SEMI, so his peeps were quick to think of this one instead. While such fake stuff may work in the former communist world, it certainly shan’t sell here in the West. But nice try, Czech troll, nice try!

Hufsa
Guest

What are you talking about? 1. They will not put him in the second semi. 2. He has been a safe qualifyer from the start, and has no need for cheating. What a strange conspiracy theory.

Hans
Guest

With such critically low talent, such weak song quality, and such terrible performing skills, he really does NOT have a chance to qualify from the first semi! The guy is well-aware of this fact, hence his attempt to escape the fate and try his luck on the second weak semi. This is a public knowledge already!

Hufsa
Guest

No, he is not “aware” of that. He has been placed as high as second in betting odds, wich means he is one of the favorites to win the whole competition. It’s absolutley ok you don’t agree with this, but it would be nice if people could do a little more reasearch. Ofc the odds may be wrong, but if so that will come as a surprise and is not expected.

Diana

Here in the Eurovision, we do not care about betting. Here we play our own cards, mister!

PUT HIM IN SEMI 2

Hans
Guest

That’s right! He has no qualification chance on the first semi and he knows it!

Anna
Guest

LOL What? He has even been the favorite to win the whole competition. I bet you don’t follow Eurovision like at all. He’s a sure qualifier, all the Tops in Youtube have him as a qualifier. What the hell, man.

Apostolis
Guest

thank god, that’s definitely amazing news! <3

Filipe
Guest

Thank God he can walk! He gonna slay, no matter what!

Hans
Guest

LOL, get real!

Darren
Guest

It would be nice if the EBU put Czech Republic into Semi 2. It would allow Mikolas ample time to recover and allow the delegation time to work on a new, less staining performance for him.
It would also even out the semis a bit more and probably actually strengthen his qualification hopes. He would qualify from both semis I think but stil. It would make more sense.
But the show must go on I guess.

Donve
Guest

He knows he doesn’t stand a chance to qualify from the first semi, so he faked an “injury” to be put on the second where his competitors would be Romania, Georgia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, and San Marino, lol.

Talentina Monetta
Guest

Actually, he said that he’s going to perform no matter what happens

bella
Guest

who the hell would fake an injury like this? he would’ve qualified from semi 1 anyways

stommie
Guest

So because the Czech Republic choose to include a risky element in their performance, one country in semi 2 has to suffer, even though the semi draw was done months ago? And why should the quality of the songs be an argument? It never was until now.

Donve
Guest

Even the Czech media were suspicious about this “incident” because the event timeline does not match! Forty eight minutes after the news were released, Mikolas spotted by a Swiss journalist while he was talking and laughing on his phone. The video was deleted from Youtube immediately, but we all know the truth!

Luks
Guest

Which Media? do not lie!

Donve
Guest

Don’t speak to me like that, you idiot! There were thousands of Czech portals who reported on this, namely: TN.cz, Super.cz, Frekvence1.cz, etc.

West
Guest

Oh yeah? I’ve read: magazin.aktualne.cz, lidovky.cz, super.cz, expres.cz, blesk.cz, idnes.cz and stars24.cz. None of those articles sugests that the incident was suspicious – they do sugest he overworked himself. But, of course, a troll like you doesn’t bother with what true or not – you just want to spread misinformation and lies pretending they were based on some fact.
If you had a real evidence you would post it.

Hans
Guest

Guys, there were reports on the Czech media about the suspicious “injury” of Mikolas. Interestingly, those posts have disappeared from all Czech portals within 3-4 hours! I never knew that this contest meant so much for Czechs that even their government would be involved to protect their representing troll! I just hope that the journalists who told the truth won’t be killed like the Slovak one this year…

Donve
Guest

Those Czech journalists who revealed the truth will be sentenced to Ján Kuciak’s penalty! All reports were deleted from every existing portal, including personal Facebook accounts. My country should have exterminated those slavic roundheads once and for all!

West
Guest

Riiight – they miraculously disappear before you can share such revelations with others.
Get back to your cave, troll – tbh I bet you and that other troll “Donve” are the same person.

Luks

Nothing you write. do not lie!

It will not be fair to countries from II semi final . HI will took place in final, from other countries from second semi and we also have EBU baby in second semi Australia.

That’s what losers do when they realize about their sure disqualification. My cousin works as a medical technician at the private hospital in which the Czech troll was transferred, and he said that this was all a fake PR drama.

Nora
Guest

He is a certain qualifier, what are you talking about? LOL. If the case was another artist I would understand it, but Mikolas doesn’t need it. He’s doing very well with polls and odds. There are a lot of fans.

Donve

He will do like Montenegro in 2007.

Luks

Paulo

My dear, if by any case your “cousin” works as a “medical technician” and he said that to you, may you know that he is incurring on a crime – a patient secret’s, medical reports,… are confidential! Also, he is not the one who should judge it 😉

OT i writh here again:
Ebu an jon ola sand fix a vicory for norway.
This is the scandal of the year!!!!

Rasmus
Guest

Do you think it is better if a Azeri, armenian, turkish, russian person was the chairman of EBU then? They have all had big problems with vote rigging, buying jury votes, jury fairness and quit because they dont like the rules. i hope that day come and then you will miss jan ola sand. He is the most fair man you can find.

Donve
Guest

The EBU’s chairman should be British or German. After all, those two organize and pay for this thing, not any of those Scandinavians. Although many people believe that Scandinavia is rich, in reality they are quite poor and seek whatever jobs in England and Germany.

Nobody is fixing anything, you’re just being delusional. Nobody has won yet. ._.
