During the Blue Carpet event of the Eurovision 2018 Opening Ceremony, Cristina Caramarcu, the singer of Romania‘s band The Humans, got the surprise of her life when her boyfriend Rosario asked for her hand in marriage. Waiting for her with a red rose in the Romanian press wing of the Blue Carpet, the Italian hunk popped the question and Cristina eagerly said “Yes!”
The pair have been dating for eight years. Cristina Caramarcu, who lives in Italy, did not expect the marriage proposal to happen in Portugal, during the busy Eurovision week. Rosario, who is half Sicilian, half Calabrian, took his time, but now he is engaged with a fabulous Eurovision singer!
“I am overwhelmed,” Cristina said. She added, “It’s a once in a lifetime moment, an experience that I will never forget, and Rosario’s surprise made this the most beautiful day of my life.”
The wedding date has not been set yet, but Cristina Caramarcu has already invited the entire wiwibloggs team to the nuptials, and we cannot wait. Let’s do this!
On the Blue Carpet, Romania’s team was joined by Adrian Tanase, the other singer of the band, who cannot join The Humans on stage because of the six-person rule.
The Humans were all dressed in black, with Cristina sporting a sexy see-through dress that showcased her amazing body and her gym-honed legs. The dress was also a Romanian affair, courtesy of Loulou.
The Humans performed their song “Goodbye” during the Second Semi-final, becoming the first act from Romania ever to fail to reach the final.
Officials from TVR subsequently complained about technical glitches that prevented their vast diaspora from voting in certain countries.

Congrats! Lord knows she and Jana can both say that no matter what their results are, they have nothing but happy memories of Eurovision.
