In Lisbon, Eleni Foureira took a killer combination of choreography and infectious dance-pop to finish second at Eurovision 2018. Now she’s brought her moves to the Spanish dance talent show Fama A Bailar, where she delivered an explosive performance of “Fuego”.

Along with the Fama contestants, Eleni performed a version of the “Fuego” choreography based on her Eurovision performance. But unlike her Lisbon show, where she was joined by just four dancers, Spain turned up the fire with a large posse of the Fama A Bailar contestants.

Note: this video is blocked for viewers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK and the USA, but a clip can be watched on Eleni’s Instagram:

In a change from her sequinned Eurovision wardrobe, Eleni had a new costume for Spain. She worked an asymmetrical animal-print bodysuit and again proved her ability to dance while wearing super high stiletto heels.

With new choreography by the show’s teacher Iker Karrera, the show’s dancers brought wall-of-sex realness to “Fuego”, with their fresh urban style offering a new take on the iconic choreography.

Earlier, Eleni rehearsed the song with the Fama A Bailer contestants. She revealed that she had not performed the “Fuego” choreography since the Eurovision grand final.

She also noted that she was keen to learn some new moves. Choreographer Iker taught her some new steps to help transition her Eurovision staging into a bold group dance performance.

The Greek popstress also insisted on changing out of her athletic shoes and rehearsed in her heels. The end result was a show-stopping performance that took the Eurovision “Fuego” choreography and built on it.

The live “Fuego” performance earned an enthusiastic response from viewers of the show. YouTube commenter “Fhbdrhbb Huincdd” wrote, “Even better than Eurovision. This Greek woman has made me crazy for her.” Another commenter, Giorgos Giannopoulos, observed that “Oil used to be Greece’s top export, now it’s Eleni!!!! Go get ’em girl!!!!”

Others declared Eleni to be their Mediterranean goddess, and one viewer even suggested she represent Spain at Eurovision 2019.

What do you think? Is “Fuego” improved with more dancers? Should Eurovision allow more than six performers on stage? Share your thoughts below!

They have also done choreographies for Austria, Czech Rep., Sweden, Spain, Cyprus and Israel as a daily exercise in FAMA. There is quite a lot of Eurovision success in Spain in spite of our calamitous results lately:

Belive me money and world wide fame isn’t something everyone want, and even tho Eleni is 100% of that calibre, I understand her choice and I would pick the same thing, maybe I would move to Sweden just to be closer to the songwriters, but defenitly not to US, where everything is about money.

This queen should have used sassy male dancers in high heels for her Eurovision performance. The choreography was good but too safe for her.

Let me tell you, Greeks wanted her for ages to represent us but our stupid broadcaster told her no 3 times. This comes to show now important is to have a good team… Well done Rik, and especially Eleni, you deserve your success!

Are you serious? 8 millions? HAHAHAHAHA not even close. You have no idea what are you talking about. First of all, Eleni’s laber ”Panic Records” paid almost for everything. ERT (Greek Broadcaster) would pay only the same amount of money, that paid for Yianna’s Terzi participation. Eleni’s company wanted to represent Greece for at least 3 times( 2016-2018), but stupid ERT wanted to bring something ”Greek” in Eurovision, that’s why they rejected them. Money were not the problem, as her label would paid for everything.

Being bitter does not really help your case.
Perhaps if some people in Greece wouldn’t have labeled her as “an albanian singer”, like you just did, the country would not have finished in 14th in the semifinal.
Xenophobia is not cool.

@Stanyult Eleni is the number one pop star in Greece and Greek people love her so much, that’s why she is really famous here. Stupid people can be found almost everywhere unfortunately. But of course the majority of Greeks, wanted it Eleni to represent us in Eurovision for so many years. For us is an Albanian/ Greek Queen and we love her <3

Eleni said many times that she doesn’t appreciate to be called Greek and I respect that. I am Greek living in Spain since 1998 and I don’t want to be called Spanish either, so I understand and relate to her completely. Citizenship cannot define anyone like nationality does, because passport is an acquired piece of paper but nationality is in your blood, so every person living abroad agrees with her. However, I am thankful to Eleni for giving such valuable contribution to the Greek culture that no other artist ever could.

@Stanyult: No, you did NOT understand! He said that Eleni is not Queen Geraldine of Albania but an Albanian singer, same as saying that Adele is not Queen Elizabeth but a British singer. He was talking about her tremendous expenses that would be too much for a Queen, let alone a singer.

Btw, Eleni said two weeks ago, that she would love to compete in Eurovision again with Greece, if ERT changed it’s mind, after her success in Eurovision this year.

Had she not represented a disputed island like Cyprus, she could have easily won for another important country in Europe. Having Eleni as your country’s representative in the Eurovision is as same as having Beyonce.

Are you sure it’s millions? Because I’ve heard it’s billions and now I’m confused.

I’m wondering if Rik has saved a few millions since we are sending a big name again for 2019. Time will tell.

Well poop, no video for me (but then again, while I was lucky enough to catch the final on Logo, there isn’t much of Eurovision 2018 I could watch from the contest itself). I hope this song is a smash. It was right outside my top 20 before the contest, but she skyrocketed into my top 5. Very very good stuff. Also, this feels like as good a place as any to say: what a fun first Eurovision! Watched with my whole family. My sister made us pesto pasta and mint-raspberry lemonade in the colors of Portugal (mint and raspberry… Read more »

So joe1, I got the impression that although everyone enjoyed many different songs, you all (given the chance) would vote for your favorite country to win (Israel) regardless of the song. That is what Eurovision is all about at the end, you can enjoy it if you get past its unfairness voting anyway, so good you all had a good family time.

I mean, yes and no. Cyprus and Israel were practically tied for us. Alternatively, we probably would’ve voted for the Czech Republic if anyone.
